Default Co2

I want to use a CO2 bottle with an Iwata airbrush. Do I need any special connectors to the bottle or can I just connect using the existing hose?

Thanks.

you will need a special regulator that is available where you fill the bottles. it will need to reduce the pressure in the tank down to a usable pressure......my setup will go all the way down to 0psi. it is a 2 stage regulator. from this regulator you will need the hose adaptor to fit your hose to the regulator..it should also be available from the same supplier.......hope this helps

rainshoe, chucktx. is leading you in the right direction..You will need a regulator just as he says, but I didn't know there was anything very special about it other than the price, because regulators tend to be a bit pricey.. I think I got mine at a welder supply house, & it works great..They could help you get hooked up..Chuck's right again--you'll need an adapter to attatch the airbrush hose to the regulator..I love working with Co2 bottles, but I don't do it that often anymore.. They are silent, & you need NO moisture trap..Very neat, clean & quiet--the only drawback being that they cost $15-$20 maybe even $25 now to fill, & for a woman they can get pretty heavy.. They seem to last a nice amount of time--this varies with the amount of work you're doing--but I know it makes practice or play around time very expensive..I always keep one around though just in case I would need to go off site..Great question!!
