Default Airbrush Upgrade?

I currently have a paasche vl. I have been painting plastic model cars and now I have been painting designs on paper. I have been using acrylic paint. My compressor does not have a regulator, but I bought it used off ebay to see if I really wanted to airbrush and I love it. So I think I am going to get a new compressor because the one I have isn't really worth spending money on.... Anyways how do you know it is time to upgrade to a new airbrush??

What makes a airbrush better then another one? When I do upgrade, I am pretty sure I want a gravity feed iwata... What do you guys think?? I hope to paint detailed fire and skulls... maybe some scenery... Just was wondering? Thanks for any help. What paint should I be using for paper?

When I paint on the paper, my lines aren't super defined, they are fuzzy as if its a crappy image in photoshop... Just little things like that, I need to fix for myself, and my painting will be a ton better. Thanks again

Is this a nice compressor?

I build model cars alot, and so I paint them. And then I am starting to paint on paper some designs and so on...

Cool Re: Airbrush Upgrade?

I certainly not the one to be giving advice..but..
I bought a Craftsman (Sears) compressor; has 2 gallon tank, regulator
and pressure guage, for about $110. I added a water/moisture trap.
The unit works great, I am very pleased with it. That's my opinion...
For what it's worth.

Default Re: Airbrush Upgrade?

Regulators are not expensive and very easy to install. Get one and your control with the Airbrush should improve and then you will be in love.
