very good start lettering an art in itself that takes countless hours of practice, follow what Ms Darla has written, posted she is the best

This is your first time lettering??? Seriously...I must have the worst handwriting on the board then, because mine can't touch this...and I do the "practice" sessions from Darla...just too embarrassed to post...

I think its pretty darn good...but I am still new...so take it for what it is worth.

Did you use a stencil? You have to much white on the lettering.Makes them look muddy.Or not there at all.

hey grinnen30 to be fair i cheated i projected the lettering reason for that was so i can get the curve and the word record centered with photoshop i had to make 3 of them and my well like i said i never tried lettering when i started airbrushing i ran before crawling in other words i skiped everything(includeing the fundimentals) so now im working backwards im doing practice drills and plan to enroll in ms darla's class thanks for the comments though

Oh!! zero420--I know it's kind of mean but I love when airbrushers have to work their way backwards all the way to the fundamentals again..this lettering on your shirt looks just fine & it's done as well as possible the way you went about it (perfectly legit!!)--but it's not hand lettering & now that you've found how valuable lettering is to a tshirt artist you won't be happy until master this new quest set in front of you..& then it's on to something else--it's not just enough knowing how to letter--you have to learn how to arrange said letters (layout) & it can become a life long learning adventure.. I've been at this a long time now & I learn something new just about everyday..it gets tiresome from time to time but as a general rule I stay excited over it..that would be the secret--stay enthused with learning.. Your enthusiasm shows--it's running over the brim!!

it doesnt feel strange at all that is the very reason why i post up all my work no matter what it is for the criteek and advise to me it doesnt matter if your younger older or the same age skill level doesnt require an age limit i can learn from u the same way i can learn from anyone else and you can post any lettering u like for examples i can use them as reference to practice lol
thanks

How very true zero . Talent knows no age . So someone as old as I can learn from someone half my age if their talent exceeds my own . And would a fool not to except it if it were offered . Just as you and everyone else here offers their talents , and experiences , and lessons to all . We can learn , if we are so inclined . And then someday pass that knowledge on to someone else ! Regardless of their time here in this life !
