Default August/September Contest Comments

Ok, we are going to try something different this time, I thought it would be nice to try to do a military tribute to show support for our troops.
Rules for this contest:
1. Starts 8/1/08 -- Ends 9/31/08
2. New Work only! -- At least (4) progress pics required
3. Open to everyone -- enter as many pieces as you want!!
4. Any Surface -- Military Tribute, any branch, any country
5. One prize -- New Airbrush from Dixie Art
Voters must have posted at least 15 times in the forum for their vote to count

We have over 3000 members, please submit your entry, don't feel intimidated by others entries, the real reason behind these contests is to give everyone a chance to learn new techniques, a push maybe to get you out of your "comfort zone" even if you are not the person who recieves the most votes, you are a winner just by entering and broadening your horizons, so get that entry in, lets make this one the largest contest to date!!!

Beautiful entries by ya'll. I can't imagine why there are no more entries than what are in here now. C'mon peeps, this is our chance to honor our troops for all they do and give for us, in a unique and one of a kind way that only we , as ab artist's can. Doesn't matter weather ya think your good enough or not, it's the point of honoring our troops. So lets see some more entries here !

Thank you Yardnut. When I was small, living in the southwest deserts of Arizona, my Dad had a Navajo friend that he worked with. He would invite him for dinner every so often. His name was Ira Hayes, and he was the most gentle, kind man I have ever met. He was a Code Talker.

Great work and very cool KD, I'm trying to think of the name of movie "Code Talkers" or maybe "Wind Talkers" , very good movie with Nicholas Cage, it was about these guys. Very riveting story of the troubles they went thru in war and on a personal level. Great work though, you did them justice........................................... .............Kwit
