Default questions

Because I seem to keep answering the same questions about the magazines I thought this forum might help answer some of those common questions. If you have a question please feel free to post it here I'll do my best and answer it ASP.
Thanks

Thanks for asking. Because of the volume of airbrush, custom painting articles contained in the on line magazine www.airbrushartistmagazine.com alot of folks choose this to start with. Over 250 (2/16/08) articles you'll have access to covering all aspects of airbrushing, custom painting and 18 airbrush instructional movies you can watch.
It really comes down to personal preference print or web based mag. We do our best to keep the print magazine articles such that those new to airbrushing can follow along with the "How To" article and complete the project. We are some what limited by publishing costs with the print magazine as far as continually going over the basic's of airbrushing, custom painting each issue. Our web sites where we publish FREE basic airbrush, custom painting info should help you get up to speed with the basics. www.howtoairbrush.com , www.airbrushowto.com , www.howtocustompaint.com

We publish different articles in Airbrush Technique than we do in Airbrush Artist they are seperate publications requiring a seperate subscription for each or one to both.

Hi Don,

Looking into getting both print and web mags.
There is no option at AAM for Canadian residents.

Is the $79.00 USD for us too?

Also I can't find any info on types of payments accepted. What do you accept?
It might show when you get to the checkout page but it would be nice to be able to see a "Payment Options" link on the subscription page.

Thanks

HI thanks for asking. Yes that price is good for Canada too. Because of shipping costs for the print mag. acrossed the pond ($4.30 per magazine US post office) I can't offer that (both magazines for $59.00) outside the US and Canada.

I will include payment methods on there right now. Its PayPal, Master Card, Visa. Anything else just let me know.

I am mainly trying to learn how to airbrush motorcycle tins and helmets masking, piming and clear coats, and so on, right now I can't afford to get both subscriptions, and have only been painting a month, for what you have seen what subscription displays the most on custom painting these items.

Default Airbrush Technique Magazine - International shipping

Was just about to order the complete set of back issues but saw that the all in one offer for international buyers has dissappeared.

Should I call you guys for an offer or are you going to put it back again?

Thank you.

Because of the weight (all the back issues) the shipping costs are very expensive internationally.

Ok, I understand, but can I order by phone, and still get a decent deal?

Both mediums as a package seems to be the way to go.

What is the deal price into australia, for both the printed and electronic magazines

Hi Horse

Welcome to airbrush technique first off, hope you find it helpful.

Sending magazines down under per issue is $4.83 each US Air Mail that does leave much room to offer any kind of discount deal on both magazines which is why I had to stop offering it.

I will e-mail here shortly see what we can do. Thanks for asking.

Liverider/Troy,

At the risk of hyjacking Don's thread, I know he's busy so maybe I can handle this one for him. Although I prefer the print mag/I like to put them out for conversation pieces, I think you might be happier to start with the on-line mag. It will enable you to access more information quicker than waiting for the print mag, which although very helpfull, isn't greared strickly toward you preferences. The on-lone mag will give you a great starter and I think you will find using the forums in conjunction with whatever mag you order will be beneficial.

sincerely
A happy customer

Eric

ok I checked the link and it clicked retail stores but all it says is how to become a retail store for the magazine. I wana know where there is a store near me that carries the magazine. I need to get several more issues of #16. I found how much it is per issue to be shipped but not how much a issue #16 will cost me.

Pat Catan's they have stores all over Ohio and the mid west not sure if there is one in your area or not.

Shipping is included in the cover price of $5.99 in the US Thad. You save no money by buying it in a store nor does it cost you more to buy it ON Line if you live in the US from the magazine web site www.airbrushtechniquemagazine.com

Hi Don. I am an accomplished nail specialist whose passion is airbrushing. I have quite a few other nail specialists wanting information about products, equipment etc. One of them has asked me if I can recommend a good magazine. Can you direct me? I really need to subscribe to one myself however, as I am not a t-shirt, car or canvas airbrush artist I am not interested in magazine articles that only focus on that. I really have a HUGE amount of respect for those artists. I don't know that I could ever get to those levels in airbrushing however, nail specialists are people too! Please help if you can. Thanks! Thanks!

Default Re: questions

Product reviews published in the other two airbrush magazines are submitted by the manufactures not by those who buy and use the products.More of a sales pitch than review. The only place you'll find reviews by the artist that actually use the products and equipment (artist not on manufactures payroll) is the product review here at Airbrush Technique, link below

http://www.airbrushtechnique.com/Reviewpost/

Our product review is an on going project 24/7 365 days a year. It's a much more effective way (the Internet) to go about publishing airbrush product reviews than in a printed format magazine. Our product review will be what the members here make it, I hope you'll take 5 minutes to review a product yourself today.

Airbrush Technique Magazine publishes the best of the articles that are submitted to the magazine that fingernail has not appeared is because no artist has taken the time to submitt an article relating to fingernail airbrushing. Airbrush Technique Magazine will be what the readers make it.
Info on submitting articles click here

Our on line magazine Airbrush Artist Magazine does have articles that cover finger nail airbrushing.

To limit your exposure to just articles covering fingernail airbrushing you are selling yourself short as many of the technique's, business practices used in one aspect of airbrushing carry over to other aspects of airbrushing (techniques used by illustrators can be used by T Shirt artist, Auto art, etc. for example)

anything else just let me know
