Default 280z project

This is my brother's 280 datsun. The previous paint job my brother and dad did went to shiot so I told them I would paint it. I believe it will do quite well in the show circuit. Anyhow here are some pics of the work in progress.

The concept drawing...off of WWII bomer plane and Japanese fighter plane

Now the airbrushing...I had to start by taping off all the lines and spraying the black then go back and do all the tedious shading to make it look real. Once the metal was where I liked it I went back and did the rivets as well as the bullet holes. I am half way done and have already put 14 hours into airbrushing it. I have two more days of work ahead of me so I can get it done before the Funk Flex show in Ocean City where our Team (Fusion Modified) is premiering out Team.

The vents have smoke stain on them for now. I will be going back and putting true flames coming out of the vents.

Thank you all very much for the comments

Here are some updated pics...I'm just about done...I have to do some finial touch up stuff and add the rust in today but it's almost there. If any of you have any idea's on what I can do to make it even better or where I can fix something let me know. I love learning new tricks and want to grow with my airbrushing. Alot of you have a bit more skill then I and I'd like to get some tips BTW I also have a pin-up I'm putting on the hood but don't have enough time before the upcoming car show...so that will be brushed on at a later date.

So here is the damn close to finished product! I still have to paint the spoiler and a few misc things. But the body now has a nice layer of clear on her. Due to some fish eye issues I am waiting till after the show to throw another coat of clear on her. Here are some new pics.

I will get some better shots outside once the wheels and everything is put back on.
