Default Monster Makeup

I'm just getting started at this art form, and I'm looking for tips on doing makeup for Halloween. I'm interested in doing faces like zombies and such. Besides makeup I will be trying my hand at some of the other airbrush art forms . I've been reading alot and watching the tutorial videos , If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Urethane based paint and clear coat, make sure to scuff 'em up a bit with 80 grit so that it sticks for a while. J/K

Welcome! I think cotto just posted some body paint. One of the pros will be a long soon.

Ha HA HAAA,,,,OZ...definitely dont do that! If you do, make sure your model signs a release form first!
I use a liquid makeup called mehron and textile paint called createx. You can probably get some better face paint though if you call around, as long as it can be thinned to the consistency of milk its good. Createx washes off easily and is non toxic and its designed for airbrushing. Mehron and other liquid makeups last longer.
I would recommend usinq a combination of freehand and stencils.
Any questions let me know

What ever you use, don't use Createx as its not for body painting its binder is latex and many are allergic to it.Liquid Mahron is fine but Trendy Tribals airbrush make up is the very best, covers quickly and doesn't crack like createx and a few body paints

Your right Neil....I know you are a very experienced body painter...I often do things the mickey mouse way and probably should not pass on mickey mouse tips. Sorry.
It does work though and I have never seen an allergic reaction although I know its possible. Using paint that is recommended for the situation is always the best route.
I test the paint on people first.
For temp tats I use temptu....but not on the face.

Thanks guys for the info. Anyone have info on technique? If I were to paint someone to look dead what should I do? Are there any dvds that touch on this? I have an idea of what to do but I'm the type of person when I get into something I like to read up on it or watch instructional videos. By the way I already have some Mehron on order, like I said I have been doing some reading. Thanks a bunch!!
