Default Body painting PLEASE USE the proper products!

I just watched a video on body painting. It really concerns me.

They were using createx paint!!!!!!!!!!!

The artists did first state that the model had applied liquid glove to her body where they were going to paint her.. However, not many people are going hear that quick statement or to go to the trouble to do this and just paint away. Second, I never see the artist or models wearing a mask of any kind.

First, acrylic paints of this nature are not designed to go on the skin. You have no idea what models/customers are going to react to. In another thread there is a discussion on the inhaling of products designed for body painting causing some bad reactions.

Be careful when you are painting a person. Use the proper equipment and make sure you cover your behind.. In this world now days, just saying sorry that you had a reaction doesn't always cut it. This is a sue first society!

I know some of you will thumb your noses at me.. Hey, I am just trying to keep my friends out of hot water.

its funny you stated that !!!! I never went to that event I couldnt recieve that right paints in time so I declined..I was then asked if I could hand paint with the same paints that I have "goldens ab colors"! now why if I wont ab body art on some body cause the paints are hazardous ,would I paint by hand with the same paints...I could have used the money but I am a new artist tring to come up in this tuff world , I think a good reputation is a must...gettin a lawsuit for puttin someone in the hospital doesnt help a rep very well !!!! not to mention that the whole thing did not go over well with my morals.....

What video were you watching? Was it the one with Terry Hill and Pat Reynolds?

Neil.. it was put out by an airbrush company.. yes.

I had another airbrusher say to me.. "Hey did you know you could use createx to do body painting?"

When I asked him if he had watched the video he said yes. I then asked if he heard them mention the body glove stuff.. He said nope.

Quickchange 3M does make a sprayable foam (squirt a small amount into your hand and rub it in like lotion and is colorless)that is used for protection in the autobody/paint trade that does "Help" protect you, but it is not 100% solvent proof and needs to be reapplied every time you wash or get solvent on your hands... Personally I'm with you. If it isnt ment for your skin don't use it.

Mayhem , I hope that you & family get well soon ,flu will shake hands with everybody
Quickchange, I ask about bodyglove not to many days ago
I thought that I were reading the thread wrong
maybe the same video that you seen, I wonder about the trace elements [metals &minerals }in all paints
some of them are stored in the body and build up to high levels
