Question Body art for dogs!

I am interested in applying temporary tatoos to short haired pets to add onto my business as a dog groomer. I have several people interested, but not sure what type of paint to use on animal fur.I know it needs to be non- toxic and I think I may want to start with stencil and then work up to air-brush. Any body out there with suggestions, please let me know.

Well dogs and cat lick.. so if you can not eat the product, I wouldn't use it.. And as the husband or an animal lover, I just asked the wife what she though about the idea of painting on pets and I can not repeat the words.. I know there are some pet owners that dress there poor dogs in stupid outfits but to paint on them just seams down right rude and mean. Good luck with it and I hope you plan on eating a good amount of whatever you may decide to use before subjecting an animal to it.

For the record, I am an animal lover. Maybe you did not read the entire post, but I used the term NON-TOXIC paint! What your wife says does not matter to me. I asked for an idea, not an opinion!

Sorry, but you get both here, and yes I did read your post.
non-toxi to a human may not be non-toxi to an animal. Lets take chocolate or onions for instance, very non toxic to you or me, but fairly fatal to dogs and cats.. My idea, which I know you are not interested in, is to forget painting dogs or cats. You of course will do as you wish, so good luck with your quest. Oh one other sugestion, if you do find something to paint with, have a laywer create a release document that the owner will sign or you may be spending all the profits on vet bills if an animal has an alergic reaction to the non-toxic paint.

By the way there are safe places on dogs that they can not LICK....shoulder blades, center of shoulder blades, center of back, top of head..by the way.

Stop returning! I'd rather speak to someone with an open mind. I am asking for advice not opinions. By the way, I've been dying dogs with an all vegan die for 7 years. They are all still alive. This is my last post to you

Use the die to paint them.. you answered you own question. Die can be sprayed in an airbrush better than paint can.

Here is some stuff I found about edible paint. The dogs will probably lick the stuff off though. Just make certain that the mix is suitable for the airbrush.

Shiny Corn Syrup Paint
Step1Measure out one quart of clear corn syrup into a small to medium-sized container.
Step2Add one drop of food coloring any color of your choice to the corn syrup.
Step3Mix the ingredients together using toothpicks or a metal spoon to make this edible paint.
Step4Paint your shiny edible paint with the toothpick or a paint brush onto pancakes, graham crackers or cookies. You can also use this paint on paper, but it will be sticky.

Kool-Aid Finger Paint
Step1Measure out a cup of flour into a medium-size container.
Step2Add a quarter of a cup of salt and a pack of unsweetened Kool-Aid to the flour and mix them together.
Step3Put one and a half cups of water into a saucepan and boil the water. Remove the pan from the heat.
Step4Add 1 1/2 tbsp. of vegetable oil to the boiling water and mix well.
Step5Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients into the saucepan.
Step6Mix the wet ingredients and the dry ingredients well. Give the mixture to your kids and let them paint away.

OK Dog groomer The only thing that I would like to know is if the dogs cant lick certain places when they itch they roll around so you will have an edible tat for five Min's one itch and a roll around and it,s gone. so it seem to me that it is defeating the object of the exercise. But hey good luck.
