Default pinstripe brushes?? Problem

Ok heres my question for anyone who stripes or knows the answer. I have some pinstripe brushes and i have used them once last fall. I tried to use them today and they didnt want to pull a good line. I stored them in a zip lock baggy. Cleaned them with thinner the last time i used them before i put them in baggies. Is there something I did wrong?

I used a different pinstripe brush i got for christmas (not used yet) and i could pull a line fine with it.

I used to paint signs, Gross, and used the pin stripe brushes, when I was finished useing em, I cleaned em, and diped em in oil and reshaped em. I wiped the excess oil off but left some in the brush untill the next time I used em, when I was ready to use em again, I cleaned em in a thinner that had oil in it first. Hope this helps ya. If not, I'm sure someone that does the pinstripein will chime in for ya .

Thats what I was also told KD. Dip them in oil and put into a pltic ziplock or put them in some kind of plastic container with oil in it to keep the brushes from drying out.
Hopefully Fresnojohns sees this and points you in the right direction.

what kinda oil we talking about? I would be afraid that if you dip them in oil and not get them cleaned out enough, it would cause catastrophic results when painting.

Gross,
Sorry I didn't see your post. I haven't been here.
My friends always say I spend more time babying my brushes than anything.

When I finish doing any striping or lettering, I wash out my brushes in
paint thinner. I gently pat them on a paper towel to see if any color residue coimes out. Old color. Then I wash them at least 3 more times. Just alittle bit of paint thinner. Then I get Mineral Oil ( If you can't get what KD Silver Brush uses) Mineral Oil is used by many if you can't get Neatsfoot Oil. And I have
a little bowel I pour oil in. I repeat this at least 3 times, wiping brush on
paper towel making sure nothing as a color comes off. You can store your
brushes on a metal try, on a brushholder, etc. I will send you a photo of my brush holder if I can.
Hope it helps.
