One Shot through airbrush
Hey guys,
I was trying to shoot some One-Shot pinstriping paint through my VL, with a #3 tip and needle, and it was spitting badly. I had thinned the paint with the One Shot reducer prior to this, and even reduced it more without any considerable difference.
The reason for this was that I did a painted design on a new Harley Street-Bob with the origianl flat black paint. The customer did not want to take the bike apart nor wanted any clearcoat over the design, so One-Shot paint was my only choice. I painted the design on with a brush and shaded it a little with my airbrush (still spitting but hardly noticable on this design). I went to put some drop shadows on some previously pinstriped flames, and the spitting was horrible. I wiped it off and told the guy that I would do it later as he was in a hurry to take the bike to the beach.
What's the secret to spraying One Shot, or was it just my gun? This was the first time I tried this, so any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dean
