New ideas to try
This is something that can dress up a car by just doing
a simple design on each wheel? Wheels and hubcaps were done in the 50's.
You don't have to go overboard to do something that will look different.
It will set your vehicle off without going crazy. Hope you like it. The hardest part of this is to pull one line around the outside. I did this in two passes.

Re: New ideas to try
Thank you Deb, Don, and Marge for the good words. This technique of
striping wheels even goes back to antique cars. This is done in regular
OneShot Enamel (oil based). As long as the surface is wax and grease
free, it should last quite a few years. I have done stainless steel hub caps
on newer cars and they lasted many years. Don't take to the car wash
and blast them. For even a better quality adhesian sand hub cap, stripe
with HOK Euro Pinstriping paint and seal with clear. Pinstriping no matter
what material is used should be taken care of like any custom paint job.
Treated very careful. The cool thing about doing hub caps is that some caps
are not pricey. And to get a new look simply stripe a another set. Much
cheaper than redoing a whole vehicle, or repainting it and restriping.
Thanks,
Fresnojohns
