"Hack striping"

Hey now folks. Been working on a project that ended up with some striping. (Already posted in the new work section), but thought the striping may be of interest here.
We decided to use the "hack" style (what we call it). I have to admit, I am not usually a big fan of this style but it worked with what we were doing and I am really happy with it.
Got a couple of pics that kinda explain the steps although in reality its really whatever you want to whack on the surface. No right or wrong way.
Couple of strokes from right to left as guide lines, couple of more from left to right and then some dots and small filler lines to keep the uneven look going. Also a pics of what it looks like when we finished it. (Before clear)
Dont have to be long smooth lines folks!

Pat,
Thank you for showing this. I have never really got into doing
this style. Believe me, everytime I tried this I never did it justice.
I always had it in my mind about making it straight and even, blah,
blah, blah............
Your design makes it look so good too. Your design and colors are super
without even putting the brush to it at all!!! You are so right, you don't have to do this long smooth super perfect lines all the time. Thanks Pat. There is
so much you can do with a brush!!!!!!!!!!!!!
