A door
This was a change of pace for me. The wife wanted a door that would let some light in so naturally I had to pinstripe it. It started out as a piece of unfinished mahogony. They were all done free hand with 1 shot metallic gold. The wife liked it and when shes happy, I'm happy. Thanks for looking. AL

Re: A door
That stained illusion is the artwork on my beer fridge that the door is leaning against, lol. We talked about staining the glass and there is a paint available to do that but my wife wants to let as much morning sunshine in as possible. AL

Re: A door
Bray, Ok now I got ya. This may be a work in progeress. Im thinking about just rubbing some metalic gold on the black metal in the glass to give it kind of a gold patina look, kinda like a bronze effect. DOnt know if Ill ever do another one they are hard to wrestle around, after struggling for a half hour my wife figured out the new door hinges I bought were wrong (2 male hinges) but we finally got it installed today. Another tip, if you ever do one put down a tack coat of spar varnish first. Even stained, the wood sucks up the 1Shot. I had to go over the lines about three times! Also pinstriping metallic gold over wood grain is a whole 'nother ball game form striping sheet metal, but it was fun and now I have a 1of a kind door. AL

Re: A door
you are so right ,doors can be heavy and hard to hang back up, I use a crow bar to raise the door

Re: A door
Al,
Looks great! Recoating One-Shot is time consuming. I like that style you did.
Doors are very heavy. The cool thing is you didn't hurt the striping hanging the door.
Beautiful work.
