Books to get on Pinstriping

In the past 15 or 20 years I have found many books at auto swap meets, and
used book stores. Some books may be still around if you really look.
With videos and dvd's out now some of these books are outdated. Many of these books don't give alot of hands on, but some of the designs are worth checking out.
Gold Leaf Techniques by Raymond LaBlanc (A must have)
Free hand pinstriping by Dick Bird (One of the few from the 80's)
Free hand lettering by Dick Bird ( same as above not alot of hands on)
Pinstriping and Vehicle Graphics by John Hannukaine (Great Book)
Pinstriping by Tramp Warner ( Many pencil sketches that are very useful)
Auto Body Decoration for the Restorer ( Very old style book with designs back in to Horse and Buggy Days)
Pinstriping by Watson ( hard to get soon)
Roth's 101 pinstriping ideas ( hard to get soon)
Pinstriping by Eddie Paul

As far as other places to get them maybe some of the online stores that deal in used books. Just remember some of these books are more entertaining than real hands on information. But if you really want all information then
all of these are great.

Thanks Fresnojohns I always say I'm going to take the time to learn striping but to date I haven't but looks like a great bunch of reference books you've listed. Thanks for taking the time to do that.

I have some of those books, John H's and Dick Bird's, great books. Pinstriping Masters is a good book to get also, I also have some of Ed Roths books, but today, the best book you can buy (IMHO) is Bobbo Dunn's book, check out his web site, I have an autographed edition, but this book is full of pinstriping desings that he invites you to make copies of and use them to develop your own style, literally hundreds of designs. Some of Bobbo's start with one line and continue until finished, remarkable work, Bobbo is a living legand! AL

Herb Martinez has a CD you can order that has 100 pinstriping designs on it. Just download the disk to your computer and you can make a copy of any of his wonderful designs. This thing goes for about $25 and is a steal at that price. You can put one of his designs under glass and trace it until you get the feel and then create something of your own. AL
