Basic designs
Hey guys, I'm going to give this a shot.
Trying the 10000 stroke method (I think that's what it's called) but does anyone have any basic designs I can play with or try?
Only have 2 colours and a couple of Mack brushes, should be fun and calming, looking forward to the experience.

Yes it is KD. It is on the DVD "Wizard's Pinstriping basics" where he explains the 10 basic strokes and says that practicing each stroke 1000 times will go a long way to working this stuff out.
It's a pretty darn good DVD.

I would like to see what the basic strokes are. Ive just been playin with my brush. Didnt really know there were basic strokes. Other than straight lines and those pesky curved ones.

I don't have the Basic Stroke DVD but when I started we just did it. And
did it until you got pretty good at it. I have the Dagger and the Scroll DVDs,
plus many books on the subject. If you notice the last Air Brush Technique
issues, I think I threw a few of those in there. Feel free to copy the design.
I am going to list some books I feel that are good on the subject of Pinstriping.
Antique Auto Body Decoration. This nay be had though Ebay, or a company called Eastwood. Great book, shows real old time scrolls.
Tramps Mild to Wild Pinstriping Designs
Pinstriping and Vehicle Graphics by John Hannukaine
Pinstriping by Dick Bird
Advanced Pinstriping by Wolfgang Press
Herb Martinez Pinstriping
The list goes on and on
Some books are good, and some videos are good. Many including airbrush videos leave out much information??????????????
In a day or so I will put up some strokes and a simple design to practice.
The Basic stroke video is a must have for anyone. Actually all 3 of those are great no matter what the skill level is.

I have all three of Wizards dvd's. He really put together a great insructional package on pinstriping.
