Default WIP Phewwwww...saved it!

Billy & I put our heads together on this one, we were able to save this trunk lid, but it has taken some real time & effort.
The customer of this 71 LTD is not concern'd as much with the inside of the car as he is the outside...[not a show car] just a sentimental paint job, but Billy & I couldnt bring ourselves to just paint over that......

Still have the dress layer to put on & sand out the rough .....

What did you use to repair the rust? Can't really tell in the pics.It looks good ,I would have sandblasted it first though to completely remove all the rust. Just a little friendly advise not knocking the work looks good for what it was.

Yard, You and Bill make a good team and it is nice to see someone care enough to try and do it right. Well done to both of you.

Actually as bad as the rust was, we cut it out & tack'd a pLate for a bridge there....then ground the remaining surrounding rust out.... from there it becomes a normal body repair
