I can't believe I missed the puppy thread!

Hey All,

I've been consentrating so much on other things I cannot believe I missed the tread with everyone's four legged friends. I have good things to report about the Abby Dog for those of you that read about her. She has healed very well, you can't even really see her scars her butt is shaped differently but she runs, and wags her tail and all is well for her. The poop head that shot her has to pay us back for all the vet bills and will have up to 1 year probation, $2000.00 fines and court costs, and the best part is 300 hours of community service at his local HUMANE SHELTER. I consider the battle won!

Don, and everyone in FL, sure hope you are fairing the weather ok, it looks pretty nasty from here on the radar. The site is still up so I consider that a good sign.

Since I'm a relatively newbie to this forum I don't know the history of what happened to Abby but I'm always glad to hear that a jerk got what was coming to him and a dog and friend are happy together. Dogs are family to most of us and when they hurt we hurt.

Post her picture; I'm sure many of us would love see her.

Some day I intend to do an airbrush portrait of at least one my dogs. Someday.

Finnaly-Our justice system did somethiing. The community sercive alone was a great move and what better place. Glad Abby's doing well. To bad this had to happen just because the guy's an a__hole! Maybe he'll wake up and realize how this affected the pooch and you and Harry. You guys are alot stronger than me-I probably would have filled his butt with a load of rock salt!

Liz, I signed on this past April hoping to learn a little about airbrushing. It is something I have wanted to do for the past 40 years but never could convince myself that I should really get serious about it. As a teenager I started painting motorcycles for friends and then tried some airbrush work on them. Then real life got in the way. Now, I'm getting serious about it. More on that in a later thread.

Abby looks like such a sweet dog. She gives a lot of love, you can see it in her face. I'll check out the blog and thanks for the warning.

Thank god he's a shitty shot with a rifle! Amazing she's recovered from that. Glad she's OK, I know what it's like to have to run to an emergency vet in the middle of the night. My Sidney got out of her collar when she was a pup, and was hit by a car when I was out walking her. The car drug her for about 50 feet. Bad enough trying to find a vet at 9pm.......let alone we were in Germany, and Ich spreken venig deutch (very little).

Hey Thanks everyone! I appreciate the comments. Lee, Harry hasn't done anything lately, he's been in a slump. One of those artist things (no offense to you artists!! ) I have never had the luxury of a slump, but I'm sure he'll get over it. Just need that one right thing to come along. Actually I need to kick him in the butt and tell hm to go find that one right thing but I'm just too nice! tee hee. He'll get there eventually. Anyway, you'll be reading about a really cool guy that lives in Daytona, Florida in one of the upcoming issues of the printed magazine, not sure if I got it to Don in time for the next issue or not but hope you all enjoy.
