Extreme Makeover Home Edition
Not sure how many of you watch this show, but the wife and I try to watch it each and every week. I always said it would be cool if they were someday close enough that I could maybe paint a mural on one of the walls in the new home. Well this week they are building a home for a resident of my hometown, about a mile from my house. When I found out about it I quickly inquired about volunteering to do the mural, but was told they did not need my services ( darn it ), my wife voluteered to do clean up and move furniture when the house is complete and she was accepted. It has been fun to watch the progress of the house build, funny thing is we live about a mile away, but to get the chance to view the happening we have to drive to the K-mart parking lot about 10 miles away and board a bus to return to the building site, we tried to walk to it and were turned away by security. Guess that Hollywood? The episode is suppose to air in November, so if any of ya watch it, when they air the show from Holt, Michigan, the Nickless family, you are right in my back yard!!!

Re: Extreme Makeover Home Edition
If there is another show on the stupid box that manages to bring a tear to the eye I am yet to find it!
I live this show, the design team are always amazing (Page and her "always in pink" is a scream!) and Ty, where does that guy find all that energy he must be so passionate about what he does.
And all of those contractors! OMG!!
I know for places like Sears n stuff it's an exercise in advertising and other accounting measures but nothing can take away the life changing effects their actions and that of all the suppliers to the show.
I still can't get over how they do destruction and construction to finished in just 7 days!
I guess it's like the show Overhauling, God, how I wish they would help me with my car..........
