A day from the real down under.............
Yep a day from [Hades]
Weds.....
Bumped a table in the shop spilled almost a full quart of clear in my shop.
Get to the music park [I always take dozens of fresh eggs to hand out to campers] putting some in frig.splats...several hit the ground. The dog by my side of all things hates eggs..so I get the mess cleaned up....
I cut the grass at the park [and make note alot of grass]
John Deere mower has a low tire...I check the oil/ turn compressor on / air tire up...previous compressor users left the hose all out in the yard so I carefully roll the hose up and lay it to the side...back the mower out and head down a huge hill.......at about 350 yards the mower gets to struggling to pull ....no wonder!!!!!!!!! I have drug this HUGE compressor over on its side and down the hill with me..........the owner had gone to town ...some of the men working there handled getting it back in place...doent look hurt...I go on to grass cutting......here comes the guys*Peanut the compressor locked up, and we talked about it...YOU need to tell Ed you broke his compressor....[they think he wont be as mad at me, as he would if they told him]
Ed gets back ...like a whipped, but proud puppy I face him, but assure him I will make it back good...no problem he says ...its been running hot and shutting down and was getting another in Sept...he piddles with it and its not broke...oil had got on top of the pistons...I was glad to hear it run.....but I had Bill bring from home a brand new head for it just in case and gave it to ED.
I was the only one not shook up about the incident, cause I knew I had 12 compressors here at home and 2 new heads stored just in case.
Then I was retrieving an item from a table...knocked over someones huge glass of tea.
At supper I put lotsa fine viddles on my plate walked by the pedistal shop fan..the fan whips my plate right of my hand...on the floor went all my food.............So I had a day from the REAL DOWN UNDER!
But alls well now!

ahahah
Needless to say I was ribbed at the whole session, and cant count how many times Ed told the story to others...was worth every minute to see others laff tho..
We have one player that owns 3 Kabuta tractor dealerships in 2 states,
theres always ribbing on him about donating a Kabuta tractor, mower etc...comments go back and forth all the time...this man even went as far as tarping over the John Deere mower in joke...so when we were all around the compressor I looked up at this man and said:
" Odell-this is the one time I wish I had been on a Kabuta"
why he asked? [he grinned with pride thinking I was gonna brag on Kabuta]
reply: It wouldnt have had enought power to pull that big compressor down the hill like the John Deere did! ahahahhhahaha

Struth Deb, don't we all wish we could have a do-over on days like those!
The main thing of course is that you were not injured, the JD is running as it should and the comp is all good.
But the best thing it the punch in the guts you gave the Kubota guy! That was brilliant hun!

Thanks Rowie brother!
Kubuta man: Odelle Toomey....hes one of the finest fellas ya ever would meet...retired /kicked back sort./..nuttin seems to ruffle him...but he came flying down that hill to tell me when the pressor locked up....I never seen him like that in the many years weve been friends....he didnt seem to understand why I was so calm about the ordeal...........but I knew.... [and guess he didnt at the time]...... no matter what was the pressor problem was ......it would get fixed ...even if I had to go buy Ed another.
