For those of you that have seen that commercial ..you will now have that ditty stuck in you head all day!

This is Greda Mae Smith ...most of ya oldies have met her on here.
I was in a big bind this past 2 years with her.
She is Schn/Silky mixed....looks like a schn, but has beautiful silky coat.. I actually looked into with AKC on how maybe starting the breed Snouze's
You pet lovers will understand that no matter how many pets you have theres alway ONE that is above special...Greda is that for me.
She is a halloween 2000 baby.
Last year with all the 42 cats the sisnlaw had...there was Havic with cat fleas [yes there is a big difference...a cat flea when located on the cat or dog runs to another spot instead of hopping..amoung other things, but thats the easiest way to identify...and yes REDNECK cat fleas get on dogs!]
Greda not only developed a huge allergy to the flea bite, but any spray used. Both allergies got worse and worse...I shaved her [she looked like a RAT] so I could tell if 1 flea got on her...and hopefuly destroy it before damage was done...nope that didnt work....actually things got so bad I had considered having her put to sleep.......thats a thing I never wanted to even think about with her...but as the allergies got worse..so did her reactions to it...she would blister out and was suffering. No way I would let her suffer like she was, and we had tried everything up to that point, even her vet was at a loss what to do in her case.
I wake up from sleep many times with solutions or attempts for solution...I did with this problem.
I went to our vet...got an emergencies antitote, and a small vial of advantage...my thought - if can keep the fleas off we have a chance for her. I gave her the shot [for safety for a reaction]...placed the avantage on her back, and believe me I was praying hard...that prayer was answered.......
Greda now has 2 months allergy free]knock on wood... and here she is with a new Beautiful coat starting back that everyone knows her for. Down side she has to stay on a daily steroid that makes her awefully fat

So since alotta pup post have made it here.... I thought I would share with ya's I sure am thankful that the Lord helped me on this one....

welcome goetta, opps gretta, deb is right cats and other animals about the same size do get fleas and ticks, cats will get the mange too, people get fleas too if they are not control, I like the name french poodle myself, easy to pronounce

the school that I attend at one time [55 or 56]ask a naturelist to the class with his body guards of course and he mentioned that foxes would pick a stick up in his mouth and take a swim in the creek and the fleas would go to the stick and then the fox would let go of the stick so that it would flow away with the fleas, do your new dog swim ?

Gretta is really cute. But then I'm a dog lover in a big way. We use Advantix here. Kota (Big Foot) has three other dogs here to play with and they play in the woods. Without Advanix we would be eaten alive. Kinda got off of airbrushing didn't we? Oh well, all in fun.

Yepper Rowie...reg. Dr. Dolittle compound here.....
Everyone here would really get a kick about Buttons [one of the Dominiq hens] she will pop in the shop every hour or so and have me get her a cracker out of the refrig.....she knows she only gets one each time.
but she never does it if the other chickens are around...I guess so they wont know she had a golden gig going with me while I work.

Yep all of em love to swim...
We have to lock Kris out of the bathroom when the spatubs in use...she will hop in it everytime...she loves to blow bubbles with her nose underwater.................

We are 2 with 5 here..
And we have a new bloodhound puppy coming later...
