Hey... just my type of skull.

It would be nice to see examples, tips and tutorials the following month on the forum, based on the stencil...

Cool Don,

Glad I'd subscribed and it's giving me time to read while I wait for my compressor to arrive, the first one ended up being bad, it was a T & C AirStar that wouldn't go above 14 psi, so I ordered a Badger Trillion Air 480-3 that arrived last Monday, but good old UPS dropped it and smashed the top in. Now I'm waiting for a replacement and haven't even got a chance to use the AB yet.

The wife and I watched the DVD that came with the subscription and I'm reading the back issues we ordered while we wait and hope UPS doesn't mess this new compressor up. We both have lots to learn and this board and the mags are a great resource and thanks for all the work you put into them.

BTW, this is for my hobby and not business, my wife does custom embroidery as her hobby on a commercial Tajima Neo machine and does a few jobs for friends. I will be doing mostly plastic models and if I get halfway decent with the AB, I would like to tackle doing my bikes tank and fenders and a few shirts and jackets. We both are disabled veterans ( she being a former Marine, I'd be Navy) and have lots of time on our hands and look forward to learning.

Thanks again for a great site and mags.

Cool Don.

I also wanted to show how to use it once the mag is out, but my work and my life took me away from airbrushing for a while. So I'm not ready to do what I wanted to do. But flames were on my list. I already tried that with success... but never got good enough with flames to show something I wouldn't be shy of showing

I'm glad you had the same idea. You have better chances to succeed than me

I'm on vacation in 1 week and a half, and hope to try again.

Well, thank YOU, Don, for the opportunity to contribute. I'm honored to be in an issue that has so much awesome stuff going on. If you haven't seen it yet, Luc's red pants painting is AMAZING! Looking forward to Darla's lettering article as well, since I'm a firm believer in lettering being a critical skill for success in ANY kind of airbrushing.

Thank you Don,

After getting back into airbrushing about 4 years ago, things have really changed since the 70's. We have gone from no information to way too
much in your face big company ads. Not to mention all the workshops
that push product brands insted of techniques.
Enter me finding Airbrush Technique. What a refreashing change. Hey this
whole board rocks too. Can't wait to get issue #14. All I can say is that all of you here are that post are great, and encourage the art of airbrushing.
Oh yeah Don, when you get ready to make Airbrush Technique Magazine
T-Shirts let us know. Just a thought .

Luc--I'm so sorry to tease you like this..I figured most everyone was getting their issues & I hadn't stopped to realize you were so far away..I think you'll be very pleased with the outcome of your article--it's excellent. I've read through it & it teaches a lot.. With your instructions from start to finish, there's not a reason we couldn't do this painting or one similar.. .Between you & David Naylor, & Marge my work looks very un-sophisticated..but we do what we do & I make abc's day in & day out..I enjoy sharing posts with you Luc & also sharing space in Don's publication..I think you'll enjoy your collection of Airbrush Technique--once you get them!!
