who does tattoos?
Ya'll know I just put a couple demo tanks out in shops, well, I get this call from some guy that knows my hubby, says he saw the tanks, and then starts talking about all his tattoos. After about a half hour of listening to him talk, he tells me he talked with kelly, my hubby, about doin tattoos, and Kelly had mentioned to him that I used to do em. So he gets this idea that he is gonna go buy all the stuff he , or I , need, to do some more tats on him, and fix a few he already has, re color, finnish, etc........So I tell the guy I haven't done a tattoo in over 20 years, and Kelly isn't keen on the idea of me ever doin em again. He says, so...... it's like rideing a bike !! I tell the guy , it's not like I can erase a screw up ya know. He's bound and determind to get me to do tatt work on him. Now I'm waitin on him to show up one day with all the equipment to do the work. This guy is gonna be so surprised when I tell him how to do it himself..........maybe I'll suggest , if he has a dog, cat, or cow , or goat, or sumthin,to shave a spot on em and practice on them first..... hehehehe

Re: who does tattoos?
KD, please take this as humor. If the guy won't take no for an answer, get him totally drunk, tie him down and tatto the word NO backwards on his forehead so everytime he looks in the mirror he can read it.
I'm a wild mood tonight for some reason.
Bill

Re: who does tattoos?
After sitting 4 hours having one done, who ever can do them, has my full respect.
The detail work involved, I don't even know how they can even see where they are drawing. They have to know where the lines are, with ink more or less in their way.

Last one for me was 13 hours over a couple of sittings though(hotrod flames from wrist to upper bicep). I still don't know how anyone can have the hand strength to push down so freakin hard ,for so long, and still do stupid fine lines. Especially through the ink and blood.

Re: who does tattoos?
It really isn't hard to do, ya don't have to push down, just let the needle push the ink where ya want it, as far as seeing what yer doin, thats what the steril pads are for, wiping. Don't think I would do em now, unless I had a LOT of money to invest in serilization stations. Besides, pushin ink isn't half as enjoyable as blowin paint :-D

KD,
I'm not touchin your last statement. And I'm here to tell ya, he freakin pushed, hurt like never before (inside of elbow). Actually thinkin maybe no more, He did good work, but it wasn't fun this time. And yeah I'm actually starting to get a little control of the paint (after only 40 hours of practicing) think I'm gonna paint my nephews bicycle helmet next week, he keeps asking every day, and tell him I'm not quite there yet. But I think its time to have a little fun with my paint befor the Newb lesson
