weekend races
What a great weekend for watching racing
Indy 500 turned out to be a great race, might even help get them some more fans. Michaels son put on one heck of a show finishing second.
F1-- Michael S. gets pole and gets it taken away for that last corner bull he pulled during quailifing, as he should have he started in the back, No championship for him this year looks like. What a role model the richest jock in the world is turning out to be great example for ever young racer out there, NOT. Scott Speed turned in another good finish weather he can ever win in F1 is to me very doubtful, its all about the team with the most $$ and thats not Red Bull.
NASCAR- Mike W. has to buy his way into the race after not quailifing, how long do you think NAPA is going to keep him around, when was the last time, he won?
Tony is big as a tank gets hurt running the bush race and it could well cost him a shot at a repeat championship this year. How many guys will continue to run bush after that happening to Tony the Tank?
Jr had a fairly good finish he's still 5th in points which isn't to bad
Kasey Kane was good to see him win it over Johnson, Kasey seems like he has his head screwed on right good to see him win.

Re: weekend races
Not much else to say on that topic. Did Tony crash out of the cup race too?

Re: weekend races
first off I never cared for indy racing, thats just me. I was a heavy Nascar fan from a wee one up until the restrictor plates came into play. used to go to Dover back in the 70's and seen the big boys run. and when they got on daytona and talladega and I seen Harry Gant run at 217 mph what a rush. then some started saying the speeds were too fast, I say get out of the sport, what do you think racing is? A good friend of mine, his dad is a cousin to Junior Johnson and I had the chance to meet him, that is one good ol boy from the south and has many a story. Nascar isnt what it used to be due to the expense, I used to see noname co's on cars back then and I was able to look inside many a stock car back then due to the pass that I paid for. the drivers now when interviewed take 5 minutes to go thru the sponsors before they start talking and have to flash a pepsi and take a drink before and after the interview. it is old and not as interesting as it used to be. just my .02

Re: weekend races
Well this week is about up & nobody posted anything up about Nascar. I didn't get to watch the hole thing, but there sure was some close calls & some of the rookies showing their talent. Especially the #11 Denny Hamlin, who was leading the race early on & cut a tire, hit the grass & spun the car around causing some damage, got repairs made, then led somemore & finally won the ran. But the best part of the race was seeing #24 Jeff Gordon hit the wall, now that was total enjoyment for me. I was glad we was not hurt, I may not like him but I don't want to see any driver get hurt.
