Week 1 of the NFL
So, what's everybody's thoughts on Week 1 (GO STEELERS!)
Saw some really close games, and some blow-outs, but just can't believe the Patriots' coach getting caught video taping the Jets sideline to "steal" their handsignals!!!!
What an unfair advantage that could give a team. I make no bones about it, I can't stand the Pats....or their coach (I am a Steeler fan, afterall). Makes me wonder about all the comments about him being a "genious" and a great "tactician"....how he gets in the heads of opposing teams, and almost magically, creates schemes that neutralize whatever is thrown at him. Garbage, I say! I think this so-called genious is nothing but a high-tech cheat, that knows the other teams signals, and calls a play that has a high probability to be successful against it.
What are your thoughts?
Big D

Re: Week 1 of the NFL
Sound a little bitter there Big D! I saw that on the news today and yes I lost some respect for this so called champion coach! Makes you wonder what else he has done in the past, hmmmm?!
Go steelers huh?! Beating up on the AFC sacrificial lambs, The BROWNS! You shouldn't be to proud of that one, you might as well play one of the Cleveland high school teams!LOL! Just tuggin at ya! One of my closest friends is a Steelers fan and we love goin' back and forth.lol!
At least my team(GO COWBOYS!) beat a legitimate last year play off team!AND, we didn't run up the score! We let them come back a couple of times and then we politely beat there GIANT ass in the end!lol!
But one good thing out of all this, Kevin Everett, the player that had that neck injury in the Bills an Broncos game, moved his arms and legs today voluntarily and is expected to walk again unlike the grim prognosis that was given a day or two ago. Here's hopin' he makes a speedy recovery!
Thats my thoughts for week 1, hope I didn't get you to riled up there Big D!LOL!

Re: Week 1 of the NFL
I heard about the Bills Player moving yesterday......that's a very good thing indeed.
As far as bitter??? Well, I actually have 2 favorite teams, believe it or not. The Steelers..........and whoever is playing New England. Just never liked Billicheck - back from his Cleveland Days (Love to hate those guys, but they are pretty insignificant as of late) Of course I can't stand Cinci or Baltimore either. Good rivalries all the way around the AFC North.

Cowboys ......pheaaa.
Sorry dude i'm old school Cowboys, Raiders, Ravens ( formerly Oilers) aaaaaand the Bungholes (Cinci)............. Kill, smash, pulverize,anihilate.......etc....
I hate "the mistake on the lake" (Cleveland) just for fun ......mainly cuz the one time that I was there before the OTC thing, we had to duck beer cans (full ones) at the game.
My blood runs black and gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Week 1 of the NFL
Do you mean like NFL team artwork? Sorry I haven't but should capitalize on somethin like that Nat!
Giants and Jets stuff would probably go real well right now in your area, especially if they win. Might have to come up with your own artistic angle though. Don't wanna mess with official NFL logo stuff, you know how that goes!

Re: Week 1 of the NFL
J E T S Jets Jets Jets. I can't beleive that Belicheck would steal signs form the jets. At least save it for a team that could beat him. Been a Jets guy since Namath (prized possition my Namath signed ball). Went to college in Pa and did 4 Steeler games a year. Great fans.
Bottom line, favorite team the Jets and whoever is playing the Patriots.

Go Seahawks!.I'm from Seattle. I think the Steelers are cheats too (sorry). I'm still bitter about that superbowl. Not fair at all. It was all one sided. Brad.

Re: Week 1 of the NFL
Snuff, all I heard in school was how Namath was a local traitor. Lots of great players came form that area. Coached a bit of ball in Alliquippa and never saw such diehard fans. It was cool seeing the whole town rooting for the local HS team and the guys who made it big.

I'm still in baseball mode though. Going to Fenway tomorrow for sox/yanks. Got my wife green monster seats. Being a Mets fan I'm prpbably going to get killed there.

Re: Week 1 of the NFL
I'm an Arizona native. We have the Cardinals. God I wish we could get football here!
I have watched a great many players and coaches "die" here before and after having great success elsewhere. The only consistent thing is Bill Bidwill and losing.

........Hey BIG D....GO BROWNS........................Through n Through, a die hard BROWNS fan. Yes we have our troubles since our return....But dont forget the 80's when you steelers where the BROWNS doormat. I agree opening day the BROWNS looked horrible...We do have some talented players on this team, they need to know how to be used efficently. Our day will come...WOOF...WOOF...
