R U Ready for some Football!!!!!

Finally! The Football season is here! A great kickoff weekend with the Titans vrs the 6 time Superbowl Champion Steelers! As a fan of the game, this should be a great matchup. As a rabid Steelers Fan, I want revenge for last year! Can't wait.

On another note.....Hayden "Hitman" Banks had his first game of his Junior High Football season this year (7th and 8th grade). As a 7th grader, we drilled into his head that he'd have overachieve to earn a starting spot. He did just that!

Hayden turned 13 yrs old this summer, is 5'7", 190lbs of football meaness! Today was their first game of the season, and Hayden is starting Defensive Tackle, and Offensive Guard. He had 2 sacks, a forced fumble and recovery, and a tackle for a loss of 3 yards. I don't know if I can handle this much football in one day!

No doubt..... I was 5'6, 120 lbs when I was his age. And when I say he's 190 lbs (without pads).......it's not just weight.....it's beef. Kid has an athletic build. I'll have to post up some pics....

Wow.....what a win tonight by the Steelers.....squeaked one out. Nothing like some Overtime to start the season. I'll take the win.....really want to see more of a running game, though. Ouch. I realize the Titans are a great run-stop defense, but less than 2 yards per carry won't get it done.

With 18 4th qtr come from behind wins in his career (most in NFL active players), why is it that Big Ben isn't considered one of the premier QB's in the league? Boggles my mind.

That was a great game! The last quarter was all I got to see cause I got work in this week and I have to work late to meet deadlines on the projects.

Couldn't believe Ward lost the ball on the 4 with a couple minutes to go! ! Yeah, what running game last night? LOL Looked great in the air though.

Bronco's? I just never know what to think about our organization? Every year they seem to be able to figure out what would be the most dumb azz things to do, and then do them. LOL The best players to keep and then trade them, the smallest front linemen availible and then hire them......... Mmmmmmm, adds so much spice to the mix! LOL

Were hitting finals month here and between the rugby codes and the AFL it's going to be a busy few weeks!

The AFL final is on this Saturday, it's between Geelong (Cats) and St. Kilda (The Saints), hopefully the sun will shine and it will be a close spirited match.

Yeah.......my I needed Duct Tape to wrap my head (to keep it from exploding) the past 3 weeks watching the Steelers Play. I blame bad play calling / game planning. The offense gets up on the other team in the first half by being ruthless and aggressive in the play-calling. Then, they try to sit on the lead in the second half........when they should have been trying to extend it by doing what got them the lead in the first place!

I guess they got my e-mail this past week (LOL), cause the offense never tried to sit on the lead last night......Thank Goodness! Cause they needed all 38 of those points to win!

Gonna be a tough season for the Defending Super Bowl Champs....down 1 game to Baltimore, and a game and a half to the Bengals????!!!!!

I'm 2-0 today! Steelers won a tight one against the Lions.....the defense stepped up when they had to at the end of the game......and I darned near broke my fingers when the Bronco's tied up the game in the 4th quarter with the Pats. (I have forgot how low my ceilings are, and jumping up and throwing your hands up in a "Touchdown" signal isn't a good thing!!!) LOL

This was our bye week no Bronco's football to watch, but there were a lot of excellent games on. I think that there's only three unbeaten teams left at this point. I thought the Vikings were going to take the Steelers until the last minute turn over and run back TD!

(I'm the fat guy with the grey vest and makeup on) We had a bunch of them there and had a busy night and a lot of fun as always. Tom if you can make the trip next year I can probably get you in to paint a few.

CDV thanks for the link, I didn't see the B94 video. After I did Jeff Reed He wanted to know what he looked like and we didn't have a mirror, so I told him
he had "gona-sypha-herpa-clymidalys" and Starks hit the floor laughing.
Lotsa fun, but busy as hell. We had to set up a portable rig in about 5 min. at the last min.
Ran my air nailer comp with a 12 way quick connect manifold that I built and 8 brushes. and we didnt tie too bad of a knot in the hoses with all of the swapping that we had to do.

Talk about a tale of 2 halves! In the 1st half, Denver was Dominating all the statistics, but somehow, the Steelers were managing to hold onto a 4 point lead. My Black and Gold only had around 50 yds of offense for the 1st half. OUCH!

The second half? Big Ben and Crew put a whoopin on the Broncos to the tune of 321 yds of offense (130 yrds rushing).......that was just in the 2nd half of the game!

Glad that one is over! Now, for a serious showdown next week. the 6-2 Cincinnatti Bengals will challenge the 6-2 Pittsburgh Steelers for control of the AFC North Division, in a showdown at Heinz Field! THAT'S GONNA BE A GREAT ONE TO WATCH!!!!!!!

LOL...I pretty much stopped watching in the 3rd quarter. Defense played well, the offense played well, but couldn't capitalize....3 trips to the red zone, and 3 field goals. That's not enough to beat a good team.....and the Bungals, sorry, Bengals (old habits die hard) are a good team. Having that kick ran back on us (AGAIN for the umpteenth time this year) was the difference in the game. Time to start trying for a wild card spot (unless Cinci has a melt down)

Not around Pittsburgh, they're not (the bengals). They most definately are the Bungels.....along with the Cleveland Clowns. But, like I said, gotta give Cinci their props....they are alone in 1st place in the division, and beat the Steelers twice.
