Default Not Much Going on Here

I don't think that NASCAR is very "sure of itself" lately. Seems like in their attempt to "change their demographic image", they have "lost sight of their original goals". Seems like they are always "caught-up in controversy" lately.

It is really sad that some fan(s) have resorted to throwing thing(s) at the track. Makes the whole thing "look bad". Even though there has been some growth in all of this, I think it's still mainly "a Southern kinda- thing". Reminds me of the reason I quit following NASCAR closely, quite some time ago, for a few years. Back then, it seemed like some folks were just going to see the wreck(s). DrD

The above comment(s) are my opinion(s),ALONE, and in no way express, or represent the opinion(s) of this Website, or anyone else on it, unless they specifically state so. RSH / DrD

BTW - Didn't think this would be a very "busy" area of the Forum.

Hey there DrD. It is funny you should bring this up. Me and a little group of friends get together and cook out and watch the races every Sunday or Sat. night. We have been talking about this for some time. It's gotten to the point
we think It's almost seems fixed on who will win.
Ever since Dale died it has gotten way out hand on all the stupid rules and stuff. I can see what they are trying to do is good, but it just doesn't seem to be working very well.
I think I know where you are coming from on not following as much. I used to
be at the edge of my seat very week. Now It goesn't matter to me if I miss the race because there are only the same small number of people that win each week. That why I way so happy to see Martin win. I love racing and I love Nascar for what they try to do for the fans and the community, but
something has to change.
Ok outta hear. I'm heading off to Colorado for two weeks.

Shane

Default cautions su*************

More than 25% , 54 laps of 200 , of the race was run under caution yesterday , I have better things to do than listen to Darrelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll carry on and watch cars go round at 65 miles per hour
Drivers make millions of dallors each year , is it dangerous , you bet thats why they make the big bucks , let them start earning that money again and let them race
Not sue I want to go fight the crowds , the mess July 4th to see most of the race run under caution which it problay will be
they have so many rules now they don't even know whats , what

AMEN, to all of that. I liked Ol' DW, until I had to listen to him ALL the time( I am REALLY SICK of the "boogetty, boogetty, boogetty" c*!p - TOO ! ) I realize that NASCAR DOES have safety in mind, but if that's the case GET RID OF RESTRICTOR PLATES and let 'em RACE at Daytona and Talladega(the 'BIG ONE' is one of the most UNSAFE situation(s) they get into, and they haven't done ANYTHING about that)

hinddee29, Yep, those "caution(s)" usually seem to come at the right time for "certain team(s)" don't they??(they don't call one when OIL is all over the place-like the 'Kasey Kahne wreck'. BUT sometimes call one for a "piece of plastic or fiberglass") Well, enough "rant n' rave" for now. L8r - DrD

chucktx, yeah, U have to go waaaayyyyyyy out in the woods to FIND a dirt track in GA. Closest one is Dixie, in Woodstock(prob'ly a LOT easier to find one in AL or SC). Lanier has been paved for YEARS(I thought they ruined a perfectly good "bullring" when they went for, AND GOT "hooked-up" with NASCAR). Too bad. L8r - DrD

chucktx, I live out in the woods so far.... that I don't even get cellphone coverage at my house - SERIOUSLY - That's NO LIE. We just don't have that many dirt tracks around here(used to be a bunch, but they've all gone). I JUST got DSL last year - FINALLY

Work is 27 mile commute 1 way. Live on "family" property 'bout 100 acres, 30 of it ours. Mountain blocks the cell coverage from the GA 400 tower(s) LoL

They'll prob'ly put up more DrD
