Default little racer

I guess I'm now a race Dad
Last week end my son Cody raced his kart for the first time
sat. he got 4th place, sunday he won

I was more than a little nervous watching him let me tell you
In the picture he's the one on the right hand side
he was one proud little dude after the race

Yeah, even if it's spent in the pits sweating and pulling your hair out!

Oh i dont know Pete, Im 45 and two years ago my dad and i had a blast on a go cart track on a trip we took for my brothers wedding. Heck, i thought I knew what I was doing but low and behold....the old man outdid me again...over and over. dont know if it was my driving skills (or lack thereof) or he had a faster cart! the point is, even at our ages we had a blast!

Don I have done alot of racing over the years and I can tell you theres nothing funner then watchin those young kids racin....specially if its your kid....racing is a great sport and keeps alot of kids out of trouble and I commend you for allowing your kid to participate....plus its a great way to get to paint lots of helmets for all the racers...hehehe...so when your not workin on the kart you've got something to paint.

By the way.....Congrates on the win!!!! The first one is the best.

OK, I'm not really that old yet (only in my 30s); in the winter I snowboard almost every other day. It just seems like I don't heal as fast as I used too! And on a go-cart track, I would probably get thrown out for putting someone into the wall that was passing me!(Actually I am a pretty good sport) I guess I will have to try it before winter; Don's picture makes it look like a blast!

Give him my congrats Don, and congrats to you also as it is nice to see fathers that take the time to appreciate fatherhood amongst the trials and tribulations that life deals us.

Hey Don congrats to you and your boy. here's an idea, put mower blades on the bottom of that slot car and he can get some practice in while he makes extra cash.

Actually he has been mowing lawns for two years and saved every penny
He paid some for the kart and motor as I think he'll appricate more if has something invested instead of me paying for it all. He's a good kid A and B's in school, its great to have something we can do together. He won yesterday by the way, four wins in six races
