Default Kart Racing on SpeedTV

Hey Don,

Watched some kart racing this past weekend on Speed. Man, those boys were driving the wheels off them things. If memory serves me, it was a 15 year old kid that won the race or placed second. The race was sponsored by a company that makes some kind of "ping pong ball return" device. I'm hooked on it now and can't wait to see the next one! Was wonderin if this was the same type of kart racing your son is involved in? What a great way for a young man to "cut his teeth" in racing. Oh, seems like I remember a pretty serious kart race that takes place annually up here at Barber Motorsports Park. I've been to Barber and it is quite a handsome facility and seems like it would be a great track to run karts. Went to the Rolex 250 at Barber the past two years (grand Am & GT prototype cars). Never been to the kart race but will now! Thanks for your time!

That was the ROBO PONG race at a track Mark Desmore owns.
Yeap thats sprintkart racing.
In that footage it was a endurance race last fall.
Same karts as Cody drives thu but a sprint race is usually no more than 20 or 25 laps that race I think was 8 hours long with team drivers.

Hey Don,

I wasn't sure what class of racing it was. Those boys hold no stops. They were racing up each others bumpers. Man, my hat goes off for them. To chew the track up they way they did was nothing more than thrilling. I look forward to seeing Cody Johnson's name in the lights. It's coming man, be ready!!!!!!!
