Default Jr gone

Today Jr will announce he is leaving DEI and forming his own team next year

This should prove very interesting. What is DEI without Jr?

Is Jr ontop of his game enough to do his own thing?

Heard the same thing. Also heard he might be teammates with Jeff Gordon and JJ. Go figure. If so, it would be one powerful racing trio especially the way their teams have been performing lately. I think Jr is tired of having to deal with his step mother over issues at DEI. She definately is not a hands on owner. He probably deserves a bigger slice of the pie.IMO.

Thanks,

Jim

I don't think it would be a wise decision for him to try his hands at his own deal. Look at the headaches that M. Waltrip is having already, granted it's a new toyota team, but it wouldn't be easy.
The more logical and obvious choice, the chevy choice, would be to race for RCR in the black #3 car and I'm sure that would be the choice of the fans also, I'm guessing.
I've heard that Joe Gibbs Racing would be also an option. To me racing along side as teamates with Smoke and Hamlin would be a great choice also.
But doin' his own thing....... I don't think so.
It's too bad for DEI and for JR, his dad's legacy will be in a little turmoil for awhile over this and no Earnhardt fan wants to see that.

Jr
Had a press conf. this morning. He said he didn't know where he was going, to what team. He will stick with Chevy and wants to go to a team where he can win, win championships. The decision would be made for problay two or three months he said. Starting his own Cup team I don't think he wants to do.
Maybe a new team mate for Jeff and Jimmy?
Or Richard's team, the team his dad drove for.
He looked pretty drained on TV but confortable on the decision he made.

We'll see what happens.

JGR and RCR both have 2 or more teams and Hendricks has 4 already which I don't think you can have no more than that, unless he gets rid of somebody?!?
I feel there are only 3 options, JBR, RCR or JRM.
And the drama continues.....

Just heard it on the news. It's official. Junior will be leaving DEI at the end of the season. Would it not be cool if he did go to RCR and behind the wheel of the "3" car. Talk about stir up the NASCAR nation! There might be some behind the scenes dickering goin on that we don't know about yet. It'll probably be in another Chevy. I can't picture Junior in a Toyota The thought of that makes me all swimmy headed ugggghhhhh!

Thanks,

Jim

At the news conf. he said he thought the #3 should be reserved for his father and thats not something he's looking to do, but I bet thats where he ends up with, Richard and his dad where pretty tight. Kevin Harvicks team mate that might work.

Casey Mears isn't doin' all that great this year for Hendricks, along with his crew, and maybe being team mates with Bush, Johnson and Gordon could be a reality.

Lets put together a Airbrush Technique team and race car for Jr... We can all Take a quarter panel section a hood, trunk lid and the roof and add some sweet paint to Jr. car.. Then the world can see some of the killer work done by people from ABT.....just a thought...
