Default Atlanta

Well folks, NASCAR is "comin' to town" this weekend. Should be some good racin' here in old 'Hotlanta' ( actually, Hampton, GA, to be precise ). Even though it's practically "right around the corner", I VERY SELDOM go to the Atlanta race, because of the traffic( pretty sad when U can go to Rockingham or Darlington, and get home quicker than U can if U go to AIR ). I'll just watch it on the TV L8r - DrD

Traffic. You got to love it. I think you have to go to a race to really
understand how many people it takes to fill a track. Just one of those things that are behind the scenes that most people will see. You do see some
really strange thing round a race track. Oh can't forget there is some
nice view walking around to.

Last week we were 20min. from Martinsville and it took us about 3 1/2 hrs.
to go about 3 to 4 miles.

Definitely !! I watched the start, then was outside a lot of the time ( running leaves through the chipper/shredder ), listened on the radio. Saw the last 40 laps. It was exciting at the end. Gonna' be close DrD

I hope to see Martin race well at Atlanta... I only hope his second place finish last week helps him to stay in the chase...
