Another fine fixed race.
I didn't know about you all, but this crap is getting really old. I'm not saying
Gordan isn't a good race care driver he is. It is kinda funny how Jimmy wins
at Lowes, and how Jeffy wins the pepsi 400. Seems like the big sponsers
are getting there way. May be it the Tequils talking, but all the people I've
been talking to here are start to think it happening.
I told one friend before the race started under caution which was bullshit.
That Jeff in the pepsi car would win the race. He said no way not with all
the coke cars out there. Well after we watch the comercial with jeff in it
talking about win the race he change his mind and said you know I see what you where try to tell me. Am I wrong do any of you think this is happening or
am I still drunk.
Anyway have a good weekend and happy 4th.
Don't forget to think guy and gals defending this great country, and
the one who have fallen.
Shane

Well, I will give ya the "coincidense" factor on that one, but during the race, those DEI cars were definitely not just playing around. That three wide move JR did was cool, but as it was with several previous races where DEI cars won...it was all about team work. Johnson was helping the 24 with drafting and blocking...same thing Waltrip and Jr have become known for since Jrs first win at Daytona 500. So I dont really think anything is fixed...but on the otherhand, if its is...then I hope to see a Viagra 500 or something soon so the 6 can get another one!!!!!!
The thing that gets me is Tony Stupids latest drama....I am sure hes a good guy off track and hes without question a very talented driver, but his freakin attitude problem is embarrassing to fans and nascar alike. Then nascar further embarrasses themselves by slapping the guy on the wrists with that measly 25 points, 50K, and probation...woooooo...how harse that was!! At the least, it should have been all of the above PLUS sitting out the Pepsi 400. I mean being a Champion is about more than winning races...its also about having the attitude of a champion, and Tony has quite a long way to go in that department from what I see.

Win Some Lose Some
Hinddee29, I could understand your frustration but, as a Gordon fan I would have to disagree. I felt the same way as the DEI teams dominated the restrictor plate races(it had to be fixed). We all have to suck it up some times. Also if you look at Gordons history he has won back to back races on several occasions and with 68 victories under his belt and four championships and number five on the all time win list ect, ect I do not think he needs a fixed race. As fans all we can do is enjoy the wins when they come and wait for another day when we lose .

Hey lowrider I'm not trying to say jeff is fixing the race or his team. I
think it was the tequila talking more than anything . I was just saying
this year every major sponcered race that car has won. I don't like jeff,
but I do think he is a great diver. I hate to say it, but if anyone goes pass
what Earnhardt did before the end it will be him.
Kevan
About Tonny I agree. I like him alot, and he does alot of good things.
What he did, he should of missed alot races. If it was Harvick he'd be
sitting until next year or something.

Well
I sat through all that rain, managed to stay dry. Had a great time. By the time the race started the stands where full of people so drunk they couldn't see the race The biggest battle at the track that night was waiting in the huge line to use the bathroom, more than one fight there. Unlimited beer and a two and a hour hour delay at a NASCAR race will not produce a pretty site believe me.
Not sure if they showed it on T.V. but the only way Gordan was able to win that was put JR out in the muddy field coming out of the pits when Jr was leading. Yeah Jeffy I'm impressed with his driving skills on the track to bad he did not reflect the same coming out of the pits. Even Jeffy's crew chief went down to Jr pit right after it happened to say it was a mistake , sorry, ect. Jr chief told him if he know what he was doing it never would have happened. He should have been brought in for a lap right than. Jeffy know what he was doing when he did it. There's a reason so many people booooooo the guy believe me.
Jr went from 14th to 3 in two laps tell me thats not amazing on that track
NASCAR brought the cars out to start the race to help dry the track and counted the laps as caution laps in the race. That made everyone there very happy believe me.

Well..., Can't say that the race(s) are FIXED, but I DO think that Sponsor's $$$(and "clout"/"pull") DOES have QUITE a bit to do with NASCAR's (ahem, fair and unbiased decision(s) riiiggghhht )
NO doubt Jeffy has the driving skill(s), as does Tony Stupid, oops Stewart( I LIKE THAT ONE KB ). I've generally always liked him, but he acts like an a*$ A LOT lately. L8r - DrD

Fixed ?
Glad to hear you had a good time at the track and from the sounds of it your son enjoyed himself. I hear what your saying about the beer and rain delay. My question is why they couldn't run the 9 laps without a flag to dry the track? Then allow everyone to pit and top off with gas only and bring them back out in there starting positions and give them the one to go from there so we the fans would actualy see 400 miles of racing. Just a thought. And by the way Don thats one of the reasons I stopped going to the track. Dealing with drunks at 8 am for the 500 and the drunks after the 400 just got old plus living 5 miles from the tunnel entrance and taking 2+ hours to get home realy sucks big time. How long did it take you to get home that night?

donp, WOW !! I thought Atlanta was the ONLY place where the traffic was THAT bad. I love the Atlanta race(s), but U can go to "the Rock" in NC, and get back home in less than 5 hours, but Hampton is only about 70 miles from my house and it takes 4+ hours. The NC Troopers, and the way they setup the traffic flow makes getting out A LOT easier. That's why I watch most of 'em on the TV. LoL L8r - DrD
