Re: Artist Article Work Area
Hi Don, I would love to contribute to this Article Work area. Although I have only been airbrushing for about 2 years. I have pretty much taught myself using your subscription magazine. I am living in Ireland and it has been near impossible to get any information on Airbrushing here, so thank God for your services!! I recently gave up a very secure career to take up custom design full time ( putting the Wife and kids stress levels through the roof!!! lol). Its going slowly at the moment, but is surely picking up. I have recently finished a helmet with a Frank Frazetta theme and taken stage by stage photos, if it was good enough, would you consider this for an article.
I have uploaded some of my work on the forum. Thanks alot Ger. gerardmarum@gmail.com

Re: Artist Article Work Area
Hi Don,
This is something that I have a lot of interest in!!
I started painting airbrush a year ago today and my learning curve as been very very steep!!!...but I'm a very patient and persistent person with a very good drawing background so for me to get the shapes right or proper shadows, was not the problem. Painting on a surface without ever touching it and mastering the airbrush with its various masking techniques, was a big challenge and one I was ready for!!!
I have taken over 500 photos of my 4 paintings, which are posted on the gallery of this site. During the paintings, I was constantly taking notes in a logbook of things that went OK and the ones that did not, paint recipes, etc!!! My photos cover all the steps, from the pencil sketch to the final product.
Nothing more I would like is to share with others my experiences and what I have learned from trial and error, from articles I have read from this site and books and videos I have bought. I have never taken any airbrush classes so everything is self-thought

Re: Artist Article Work Area
I e-mailed you and PM'ed you about that at the time you contacted me. If you fllow the instructions in this thread http://www.airbrushtechnique.com/for...?t=2847&page=1 it makes it much easier.
I can not extract pictures from a word doc please submitt a file with the text of the article, paragrapghs numbered to correspond with the pictures. The pictures must be in a seperate file all by themselves, when you save the pictures on your computer do so in order image#1,image#2,image#3 when you write your text in paragraph #1 you would be explaining what you did in image #1 (picture #1) , paragraph #2 what you did in image#2 or picture #2 so on.
Need more help just yell please
have a great weekend I'm off to be with the kids this weekend, school will be starting soon need to spend some time with them before it does
its just paint, relax, have fun

Re: Artist Article Work Area
Hey Don, I have an article I put together a long time ago on an air compressor drain modification that I use. My CD Burner is toast so I never was able to send it to you. Is this thread now where we can post such things??? I still have it if you are interested.
Later
Gary
