nelson--I'm not sure--what kind of airbrush & also what kind of paint again?? I'm afraid I'm not very good with problems like this..Check that your paint is not to thick--are you using a siphon bottle or a gravity cup?? Check the air vent in the siphon bottle..the very 1st. part that screws onto the tip end of your brush sometimes gets a paint build-up on the inside edge, take your needle or something sharp & run all around that--clean the inside of your tip!! Take your needle & run all around the inside of the tip & force dried paint out of the little hole..I think your splatter is caused by a little trace of built up paint..somewhere--good luck finding it!!

Createx is thick & I think it even thickens more with shelf life, AquaFlow is the same & craft paints are the worst..--what psi are you using. Using a Paasche with a #3 tip & needle I've found that you can use paint almost as thick as mud, but when you do your psi must be much higher..I use around 60 psi, but even then it's sometimes better to thin my paint to a more workable consistancy..My white has always seemed the worst about thickening up & with it I have experienced splatters.?? I've experienced splatters many times!!...You may have to clean out the small air jets with welders wires, but if you have been flushing your airbrush well when put to rest, they should be OK?? Clean it well & check your paint..we need to get you back in action again, you've got to outline those flames!!

well actually my compressor has a major problem. i heard something rolling around inside of it so i took off the side cover and there was a screw in the bottom. it goes through the connecting rod not sure if that is what its called but it is cracked. now the compressor doesnt work.
so i have to give airbrush city a call.
