Default Today's projects

Here's what I did today. The first is my first attempt at a shirt. It was not a plain flat T, but a ribbed halter top my wife had hanging around. I kinda hurried through it but it turned out ok. I haven't gotten my new camera yet, so I had to use my scanner. The next is an orca, which I am kinda proud of. It was a real excercise on blending, matching, and mixing colors. Also my first attempt at painting water, which I obviously need more practice with. The third pic is the reference I used to paint the whale. Feel free to comment on these!

Looks like you're going to be a natural!! It's obvious that you're enjoying yourself--my advise would be to play around for awhile, just as you're doing.. & then settle down and really study the craft & learn the tool..Very nice work for a start.. ..landsbro did a beautiful painting with water droplets falling--check out his web site & you will see what this technique looks like ACED..it's very important to examine other art because you learn something everytime..

Just took a look at landsbro's site. Wow! I see what you mean by ACED! I especially like the LOTR helmets and the tiger puzzle.
