Default My first RC car body!

Well, I finished my first RC car body tonight. I'm pleased with the result, even if I can't seem to get those flames smooth enough. I also had a little problem with the paint, so I didn't get the shading that I wanted. It's a Ford Pickup truck, with old school flames and carbon trunk. Comments are welcome as usual!

It was Faskolor paint. I tried different psi's but didn't get it to flow well. So it caused me some problems with the fading in the flames. I wanted to use a little bit more red on the outline, but could't get it to spay even, so I skipped it. These cars are quit small, so you have to use as low pressure as possible to control the paint well enough.

Faskolor can be a tad on the thick side. You can spray it at a higher PSI or thin it with alcohol ( rubbing or denatured ) or windex to a more milk like consistency.

What type of brush are you using? Smaller tips will add to the problem with spraying Faskolor.

Fascolor can also be thinned with the fantastik/water - 50/50 mix. I can't remember where I heard it but I was told it is the same as Auto Air and I have had good luck so far doing this.

I wish I could find the Fantastik product here in Norway, but I'm out of luck... Anyone know of a place which sells this over the internet? I haven't thinned it out with alcohol yet. Might wanna give it a go.

You may want to check out the AA site. I read on another forum info the moderator received from AA on the issue of using fantastic.
The statement was that the NEW AA reducer works like fantastik.
