Createx and t shirts
Hi does anybody use createx on tshirts, I have juts done my first grafitti tshirt and want to spray the white high lights, the problem I am having is the paint isn't sitting on top of the rest of the colours but sinking into them.
Cheers
Owen

Sorry no one took the time to try and help you
Apply a little white heat set it and do it again
reduce your pressure a bit so your not blowing the paint thru the shirt
This really starts with at the very beginning of the design you can save yourself a lot of headaches if you plan on where you high lights will be and avoid adding dark colors there. Let the white of the t shirt help you create highlights in other words.
Hope that helps a little

HI Owenjay
yes I have had that problem, The best way is to do it is to heat set what you are spraying on, Shake the hell out of the bottle and a suggested lower your pressure.

Re: Createx and t shirts
Just a quick add on to the previous advice..... make sure that you are using opaque white instead of tinting white....you can second coat it in several minutes if need be and blasting it on wont help.
Good luck

Re: Createx and t shirts
The PSI needed will depend on the viscosity of the paint, the type of airbrush (Gravity fed or siphon fed), and what kind of effect you are trying to achieve.
The kind of shirt and weave of the cloth will make a difference too! All cotton shirts hold onto the paint best, but they tend to shrink and distort faster too. Typically, the 50/50 blends seem to do the best all around.
You may find that using a clear coat, like that sold by Golden, will do best for giving you a tight even surface to work on. You spray it on, and you can heatset it if you wish, but they say you don't have to. It's not a bad idea to do a coat on the finished piece either.
