there was a crowd of people looking,,
the sales man said you'd better stay here and help me show how it works
are you sure you never used it before he said,,,
it was little expencive though he wanted $178 for a kit with 2 extra wheels

Re: buegler pinstriping tool
Looks like a handy lil tool, Landsbro, but also looks kinda awkward to hold and operate.

Re: buegler pinstriping tool
I have seen some pinstriping videos where someone does flames
like on a semi truck fender and it works great. I have seen them
at verious auto shows the last 30 years and always had a hard time using them. My main concern is they would be hard to use and what about the cleaning after you are done??
But on the other hand, what if someone wants you to do a set of wheels??
Or if its on a large truck with rivets allover the body. It would work great.
It would be great for production type work that is repetitive too. The cleaning
issue would be my only concern. Maybe I will look at a Beugler Tool again.

hmm,, i agree with you,it wouldn't work everywhere but to me who don't know anything about pinstriping with a brush it would be a great help
about cleaning i don't think it would be harder than cleaning your airbrush
think it takes longer to get a brush clean. it take ages to get all paint out of them,,

Re: buegler pinstriping tool
Hey guys, these tools do look great and have been on my want list for some time.
Talking to one of my friends who uses one of these the cleaning sounds like it's not such a big deal. Especially if your using acrylics or 1shot, soaking is a breeze it it's left too long.
Personally I think no tool could ever replace the pure art of striping when crafted by a true master.

I think ChuckTX has one of these, I sort of remember him buying one a couple of years ago. I will PM him and see if he can fill you all in.

Re: buegler pinstriping tool
I can say that they are great for long lines. Have had one for many years. Have not used it much the last few years as I now hand pull all of my lines, but it is a great tool with a bit of practice. I could not use it doing any type of sharp curves, but you can pull a 12 foot line down the side of a car in 15 seconds if you have the hang of it. Can't say that I used anything other than one shot in it. Tried HOC striping enamel in it and it was too thin. Made a mess. (Could have been operator error!) Cleaning is no big deal either. Just takes a bit of time.

Re: buegler pinstriping tool
Maybe learning a Beugler combined with learning with a Brush could
work great.
There are many things, even though I have time with a brush where a stripng tool would really work. Doing items with sharp edges like trailer fenders
where you want a continus line. Doing wheels and boats are hard to hold a line and time consuming. If I could do two lines at a time, that would save
much time.

Re: buegler pinstriping tool
hey all.......im back for a bit. busy painting and other issues.....anyway, i have the tool and i like it for what i do with it. i use it to outline flames and do fancy scolling. i havent tried the intricate stuff tho. mine came with 3 wheels...cleaning is a breeze...i have only used oneshot in it. my waterbased paints are too thin. it will turn a tight line and you can stop mid stream if you want. i am sure with practice a person could do a lot with it. you can go fast or slow with the same results. i am happy with it and it has served me well........but, it will never replace the brush......
