Motorcyle Tanks, Fenders, and Fairings
1. This contest is open to all Airbrush Technique forum members.
2. One entry per artist. (Recent works, nothing old, within the last month PLEASE) please post in the T & T entries only thread.
3. This contest will begin 2/25/08 and end 4/27/08 with voting until 5/3/08. it is recognized these projects take a little more time, so we are trying to provide ample to to submit
4. One winner for this contest, a BRAND NEW AIRBRUSH donated by DIXIE ART
5. All entries must include 5 - 10 progress pics posted.
6. Winning entry will be posted on How to Airbrush.com with all credits going to the artist.

Damn nice work guys, I am going to try and see if I can get some tins from a wreck or something, never tried painting anything like it before and no way you pair are having all the fun, even though you have set the bar so very, very high.

awesome work Kwit and Lee, you guys are incredible. You have definately set the bar high. I would say good luck, but you don't need any luck you have got it going on with the airbrush.

Wow !!! There are some really awesome entries in this contest. I was so hopeing to get one in too, but getting the tank here on time isn't looking to promiseing, and I gotta say, I'm pretty disapointed. I really look forward to participating in these contests, they really make me strive to improve. Ah well, there will be others eh :-) I wish much luck to ya'll, your a fantastic bunch of artists, and its really gonna be hard to judge this one !

With work like that, don't think I stand a fart's chance in a tornado with any projects I got going on right now. Want to see this contest get off the starting block with enough entries, though, so I'll get one on here by early next week.

Guys, I'll put this out there for Brush and you guys to think about and let me know.

I have been to the only 5 Motorbike wreckers I could find locally and the only thing I came away with was an R1 front guard and a Hyabusa front guard, not a tank to be found (or begged, borrowed in this case).
So what I would like to know if I were to paint up one of these would it count as a "Tin" for this comp, meanwhile I'll keep hunting to see what else I can dig up.

Rowie, by guard, I think you mean fairing, which is listed as part of this contest. If that is not what you mean, please take a pic of it and post it for all to view, I am sure all understand that not everyone can get their hands on a tank.

OK YA"LL!! You heard 'em,,,early next week!!!LOL! Do what you can Big D, we know you got a bunch of little ones at home so I can imagine it is hard to find the time, plus with all of your travlin' too!
Would be nice to see some more entries though,,,it's not who is in the contest but how many entries and who is voting,,,,so everybody has a chance.

Sounds good to me. A bike part is a bike part, but I guess that is up to Brush and Don and the rest of the forum.
