Favre blew it, if he had shown some patience, and not tried for 30 yard passes all the time, I think they could have won the game. I was rooting for them.
Oh well, maybe next year.

yes he did
they should have run the ball

time for him to retire let some kid take over I think.

NY and New England I'm not sure will be a good game New England has more than NY can handle I think.

I think that if Favre had gone at the game like Joe Montana did, where he kept the 4 and 5 yard passes or runs going, that he and the Packers could have done a whole lot better. But that doesn't make him look as spectacular as the big long passes (when they work), but the NY coverage was too good, and everybody was freezing their butts off. There were other players that had problems too, I can't blame a whole team's loss on one guy, anymore than I can give the complete credit to one guy when they win. There is no "I" in team.

I thought defense on both sides was a bit sloppy, with all these idiots in the pros and college going for the "bang" tackle rather than a traditional arm tackle, we see lots of missed tackles, and lots of extra passes or yards that could have been cut off much earilier in their moments. By bang tackle, I mean those attempts to ram the runner, reciever, etc., with enough force to knock the ball loose and send the ball carrier flying. While the few successful ones can look impressive, they are rarely successful by statistics. You can watch the games and watch the receiver or running back spin or bounce off the tacklers, and get those extra yards or TDs on a nightly basis. I know the Defensive coaches must all be bald and hoarse from trying to get the players back to the fundimentals of tackling.
Think I'm wrong or exagerating?
Watch any of the college or pro games, and see how often those guys try to bang tackle the ball carrier, watch and count how many times that is unsuccessful.
I see a time in the near future where the teams will start fining the players for everytime they attempt to bang tackle and miss, or get called for spearing or unnecessary roughness. The players will whine at first, but then as they start tackling with their arms again, the runs will get shorter and shorter.
