Ok all of you graffic artists, lets get this thing started, here is my attempt. Based on the number of entries at this time it looks like I am a shoe in for the prize money.
Had a few days off over Christmas to work on it,... so here's mine. Euros on foam board. Tried to keep it simple but bright,... hope you like it! Painted on the lettering this time.

I wanted to go to this contest for the challenge bud didn't really know what to do !
Advertisers are people with a very large imagination...I'm not
I often create my design without any message , i'm just focus to get a good balance with the background , the main design and the colour , no need to warm my brain . So the harder part for this job was to find an original idea, and find a way to put in on paper.
Whatever, it's probably not my best painting bit it'sfor sure the hardest exercice i've done with my airbrush until now.
Hope you like it
Done on thick card board , size :8.25 X 14 In.
Auto-air and HOK paints

seipa tone,,
it's not so pretty,it's freehanded drew a sketch with a pen
filled in with airbrush and small hairystick,,,my thinking when creating this was that i believe clay was mentioned somewhere too that's why i made two
pots kind of,,,if you wonder whata heck that is,,,
far from pat's excellence,,,

Pat,... love your use of colour, and Kimmo, you may not have used a lot of colour, but I love the way that line flows through the picture pulling your eye along with it. Well done guys,... can't wait to see some more entrees, keep working everyone you've still got a couple of weeks to go!

These all look GREAT & each has a reason to be chosen. Not feeling so confident about mine anymore!!! Ha ha ha. Oh well, it's fun to be working on something again, whether I do well or not.
And yes, I'll be posting my entries at the last possible moment!
(Waiting for access to my compressor...)
We are extending the deadline on this contest to 2/1/08 in order to allow for more entries that have not been completed yet, voting will be shortened to (3) day after the deadline. In conversation with Spiderman, he needs the artwork by the end of the second week in February in order to have it to the signmakers in time to have it ready for his opening. Good Luck all!!!!
Thanks I am in the process of a design for it. Was getting a bit worried on the my time left because of all the work I have at the shop that I am obligated too. This is more than enough time. Come on everyone put an entry in. With logos it is more or less the concept that sales not the details, so don't be afraid and enter something. Thanks.
Brad
The design is ready in my head, but how on earth to get it down on paper! Maybe the extra time will help me. I want to get it done Spiderman, I really do!
I got big interest, Don, but have so many projects goin on now, can't seem to catch up, and then...... My ab flips out, so now, I'm waitin on supplies.......
I have a sketch all done, way things are goin, it may be all that I get done on this one :-/
Come on everyone. Don't worry about the entries that you see being so awesome. The judging is not based off of just how well it is painted. Read the rules and you will all see that you have just as good of a shot as anyone, pro or not. You could be the big winner. Win something for yourself and if not you still get to keep your work of art. You can do it! If you can imagine it, and you believe in it, you can achieve it.
Brad
Okay, so this really isn't completed, but it's close enough. I have to go pick up the hubby in Pittsburgh now, so this is as finished as it's gonna get.
I've also got the whole thing mocked up in Photoshop to make vector artwork & greyscale versions. I was gonna have stencils made for the lettering & whatnot so it would be crisp, but I had to settle for hand-cut, freehand & a teensy hairy brush. The mockup also has a bunch of different items for each letter, since it was so hard to choose!

Thanks Don. I am WAY to old for all nighters! I have 3 more mockups in Photoshop of other designs, but I underestimated how much painting time I was going to have.
Someone want 2 little kids while I take a nap? LOL!
Those pics got washed out, so I scanned it. Here's the scan, to replace my entry photo (if possible).
All i have to say, this is probably one of the hardest contest to vote on... they are all so unique and clean. I will be baseing my vote on what I think will be most portable for a business logo... man this is going to be tough. but congrats to that entered.. .and thanks to spiderman for giving all of us the opportunity.
