Default Spitting Stars

Well I have been at it again trying to get my planet scene together I thought that I was going well until I went back to redo the centre of the star bursts for one reason or another the paint just went splat and then after that it was just down hill. I couldn,t get even one right, mind you I still need advice about shadeing. Any way here is a pic of what I just F#*@cked up.

I like your concept,Neder/brit. Darken your background with maybe some dark blue, like navy, and shade it out lighter as ya get closer to the mountain tops, and shade your planets a bit more. Don has a great free lesson on shadeing spheres in the forum listings.

Hey Neder, are you using any kind of reference for this or are you doin' it right of your head? I don't think that it's that bad illustration, nothing a little time and patience wouldn't cure.
Like Kd said, I like the concept but I feel if you visit The free lessons forum that KD mentioned it would help a bit. Take advantage of everything that this forum has to offer, there is alot great stuff in here.
When I do spacey type scenes I usually look for some ref's on the internet or some books that I have and some times even a cool sci-fi movie. There are times I can come up with stuff out of my head but I need ref's more times than any.
Hoped I helped a bit.

Have you tried thinning the paint and lowering the pressure?
