wip on praying mantis,,mind you not until this morning after i was all like EWWL WHAT IS THIS THING what it was,,,why would someone want this on their shirt,,and sport this gross bug,,,,then i found out it was a praying mantis,,,i was painting it like,,whys does this thing have 4 legs,,and claws,,what is this thing,,,OMG,,,im painting it for a teenager who is a great person,,just a little creepie,,lol,, i think he wants to give it to his girlfriend,,i would die if my man gave me a bug for a gift,,,lol

so tonight i have to add some purplish and some deeper red tones,,,i got tired last night to finish it up in one night,,i realized it when i was spraying and my lines were way off,,,lol,,,thats when ya know its time to wrap it up and get to bed,,i cant spray straight lines when it gets past 2 am,,,o well,,,so youll have to stay tuned for the outcome,,heres where im at,,heres the flick the person sent me of the bug,,,

Very cool Nat! You're always making some cool stuff. I like the praying mantis but it is funny that the other night I had a dream about a praying mantis. In my dream it was on the wall and I tried to swat it off, and it stuck like glue to my hand. So I just shook the crap out of my hand for about five damn minutes and it wouldn't get off. Then I heard my girfriend in my dream saying Brad, Brad, wake up, wake up, so I endded up waking up to that and she really was saying that. I had my arm underneath her head and my hand was a sleap. Apparently I was pimp smacking her in my sleep and I kind of had her in a headlock. I think my mind was telling my hand to wake up. Funny little story. Lol. Great job again on the manits.

Yeah I feel bad too becuase the last time something like that happened I had super powers in my dream and I accidently karate chopped her in real life on the side of her neck. Oh yeah and I sleep eat all the time as well, wake up the next day and wonder who left out the food. I think when I end up going to the old folks home when I am older, the orderlys are going to hate me.

The illustration is lookin' great Nat! I love these creepy cool lookin' bugs, they look like little aliens. I think this breed of mantis is actually poisonous and also from another country.

ive been getting that question alot lately too,,

when i started using the ab gun ,,,lets see,,,,i think im actually hitting the 3 yr mark,,,BUT mind you for the first yr it was all hell,,lots of throwing stuff and crying,,long long nights,, in just learning dagger strokes,,,lines,,dots,, my spray was SUPER terrible,,,for the past 6 months,,i can actually say I CAN PAINT NOW, LIKE MY colored pencil work,,,i use to be shy to even say im an airbrush artist,,i use to mummble the words,, NOW IM LIKE SCREAMING FROM THE HEAVENS,,,ITS WORKING,,ITS WORKING,,,yep i painted that,,,ALL HAPPY AND STUFF,,LOL,,im confident today,,BUT MUST SAy,,,IM STILL LEARNING EVERYDAY AND EVERY SURFACE I DO and picture i want to paint is a new challenge to me,,,,i want to push my skills so hard that my hand turns RAW,,,MY EYES POP OUT OF MY HEAD FROM STAIRING AT A SURFACE,,,,,,I WANT TO LEArn everything about it,,and just create with it now,,i love my gun!! finally we are at piece with eachother (me and my gun,,lol),,now its up to me to come beyond the basic flow work,,,and challenge myself and its guns ability,,
thats why its good to pay attention to these pros,,keep posting and practicing,,,TRUST ME,,im no where near portraits just yet,,,still have problems understanding highlights and shadows,,but its a daily learning experience,,,

ya know for fun,,,I WILL POST MY FIRST T,,,aaaahhhhaaa I SHAKE my head today and say WOW,,i cant believe how i struggled in the beginning,,mind you i never painted before,,I ALWAYS USED COLORED PENCILS,,,so i struggled with understanding paint and mixtures,,everything turned to mud,,o god,,the old nightmares,,gives me chills,,,

Nice bug X, I saw one in real life last week, sitting in the middle of the sidewalk. It was bright green though, so there must be different kinds. Yours kind of has that "alian" feel to it though.
