Re: Time for help & Advice
Airbrush dreams is right on the money with that one. Another foolproof method if your working on a harder surface like card, illustration board or wood is to lay a piece of masking film (something like a frisk masking film) where you want your starburst to be, then with a scalpel cut your star shape out of the masking film, in much the same shape/design as airbrush dreams was describing. The beauty of this is that you can cut a really clearly defined and sharp edged/pointed basic star shape out with the scalpel, then simply airbrush your white or silver star in, remove the masking film, then to finish it off, lightly airbrush in a soft centre to your star to soften it and give it some body. If you want to really make it look ooober cool....you can airbrush a slight halo around it afterwards, but you'll need to be quite confident of your control over your airbrush and paints to get it right...................talking from experience here - as I've made a mess of more than I've gotten right! But they do look cool if you do get 'em just right.
