Re: holly bat progress
Zero
This forum is what you the members make it within the few guide lines that govern it. FORUM RULES
T shirt airbrushing is a very tough way to make a living and yes it is a dieing art form. Ten years ago the going labor price was $1.00 a minute and that still holds true today even though everything else associated with airbrushing T Shirts has gone up by a huge amount (paint, insurance, T-Shirts, store front rent, ect.). Can you make a living doing it? Sure will it be easy, no.
This forum is about airbrushing and is open to everything that stands still ,long enough to airbrush it just as the magazines are, that will not change.
Anyone who has a problem or concern Zero just need e-mail me or call me. Both my e-mail address and phone number all over at least 5 different webs sites including this one. I might do not always have time right that second to address the issue but I will get to it and do what I can to correct it.
Being pro active usually works better than taking your ball and going home. If you want to see more T Shirt art posted than post more and encourage others to post more its that easy.

Re: holly bat progress
Don't ever stop postin' ZERO!
Progression is what we all like to see with in our selves and with others, to see people become artist right before our eyes is what gives us the motivation to keep tryin'! I love looking at t-shirt art and maybe I'm a decsent artist but I'm no t-shirt artist by any means!
So please keep posting your work, you are part of the motivation that feeds alot the people in this forum....now quit mopin' and keep creating!

Re: holly bat progress
hey zero i know how you feel, i'm my worse critic.
but remember that not all mistakes are bad and sometimes it looks bad because it doesn't look like you pictured it in your head.
not to many people know me in here but i found this forum very friendly for a bunch of artists. the good ones help the beginers and everybody posts wether your a pro or a beginer. i think what counts is the mental support everybody gives to each other, that is what stimulates us to keep getting better.

I second this post.........
I hope ya feel better today also
I love your work.
Ive been painting since 96..yardart mostly till bout year or so ago...just yesterday I wanted to drop the AB and walk away...jus over the fact that I taped sumptin too soon.....the more I tried to fix the worse it got...I had worked hard to get it just to that point......then I backed up and took the whole project down to the bare parts [boat motor cover] re primed and repaint.....glad I did ....its awesome now........I have so many projects of my own that I do, and re-do just because I cant get the patience of a cat.....BUT IM LEARNING TO! So hang in and post!

Re: holly bat progress
Hey Zero,
You don't know me from squat!
But I'm a rookie and those of us on the uphill side of figuring this stuff out really need people like you to post your stuff to show us what can be done and what to strive for.
So if it helps your personal funk, think of it as a service to humanity.
Post, so that others may strive!

Re: holly bat progress
If I may I would like to add somthing, I have been reading all of your coments, replys, and suport for zero and I must say it bought a tear to the eye of this big old demolition man. Even though I am new to A/B I feel that people so as yourself are without a dought needed to inspire, help, and critcize, I have been floating around in the art world for about ten years now and I can honestly say that I have never come across such a friendly and helpful bunch of people. Most artists in my experience hobbiests or pro,s seem to see everyone as competion. So man please keep on posting old or new dosen,t matter there is always something to be gained for rookies like me.

Re: holly bat progress
Hey zero, if you have something specific that you are having trouble with, you should post up some samples. I'm sure you'll get some feedback and suggestions, but you'll have to post some specific questions. Going away from the forum isn't going to help you get better. Use the forums for what they are designed for, a medium for you to get comments and input from people that have been there before. There is a vast store of knowledge on this site, not just the articles, but the artist that visit, read and move on. If you don't post something, they can't comment! I know you want to get some first hand experiance, but take advantage of the tool you have.
My two cents
Shawn
