your welcome......lotta folks get discouraged ABing thinking that it's just them and not the equip. or supplies they are using......thats one reason I love this forum....everyone will work to resolve the issues....Paints are such a wide open area in this field....what fits some dont fit others.....example...many artist here can make auto air flow like magic...produce materpieces...Ive been at it since 96, and cant get AA to do toookie [southern pronounced tuki definition:squat,nada,nuttin... ahahah]for me....

but I can take the craft paint from walmart, and go to town on a project...both are waterbourne paints...what's the difference
the difference is me..?[and a few chemical properties].....so in the past I have learned the magic touch for one type waterbourne, but not the other....I came here and other places....learned what others know about gettting AA to flow proper...I tried it all, and cannot get it to work for me...at least not on a consitant basis where I would use it all the time....now that leaves a problem....Ya cant use the craft paints for the automotive work so I use protection and ventilation and shoot euros....there is a massive amount of things to learn..try....weed out...and make do....
I can attest to this...many times in the past a customer at my shop stated they always wanted to try ABing...so I reach for the Walmart craft paint..show how to add AA reducer...pop it in th cup, and let them spray away.....hardly a time when paint flow was at all an issue...matter of fact I can never recall tip dry with those mixtures.....
oooops I woke up in a rant mood sorry........
any way....for practice at low cost, crafts paint are fine, but you will spend a few bucks for the AA reducer...it goes a very long way....kinda like Breelcream a lil dab a do ya....
I use-
4010 Flash Reducer - Medium Dry
Use to thin colors for improved flow, leveling and spray-ability with a slight acceleration in drying time. For airbrush usage, 4010 Flash Reducer aids with control and preventing over-spray when using smaller tip sizes at lower PSI settings for cleaner lines for detailed work.
