Hello folks. Just wanted to let you all know that my little Shannon got her blue ribbon. First prize!!!!! Pic enclosed. I have also rewritten the quickie how to for painting pumpkins again. You may all already know this but if you dont, enjoy.
Wash the pump with rubbing alcohal. Dont be shy. force dry with hair dryer or heat gun. Use a water base paint. We use Createx, but I am sure than any water base brand should work the same. Be careful!!!!! The paint is very fragile. It willl scratch easy. It is best to do mostly freehand designs to avoid the scratches that a mask could cause. Force dry after each coat or color of paint. Finally, clear and protect with a rattle can style clear. We use Krylon brand Acrylic clear. Dont use automotive jam clear as it will wrinkle the paint. Spray your clear light and use a few layers!!
