Ability to hit the ball is not why he broke this record. Its the Power and bat speed that he hits the ball with that put him over the record. Its because he for lack of a better word "cheated" and gained that power artificially is why he should be bounced out of baseball.
There are plenty of major leaguers that can hit the ball as many times or more then Barry does, but because they dont have chemically enhanced power and speed a ball hit off anything other then the sweet spot of the bat is going to stay in the park.
Ive seen slow motion replays of some of Barry's home runs that dam near come off the handle of the bat. Only someone of amazing strength and bat speed can do this.
