You are off to a very good start. I wish I had started when I was eighteen. As far as how to deal with those kind of situations, and I'm not in any way reccommending this in today's letigeous (money hungry lawyers) society, but there is a book out about Kenneth Howard, AKA Von Dutch. Its one you need to read, Von Dutch lived right on the edge, lets just say he wasn't receptive to constructive critisim, I dont want to spoil the book for you so we will leave it at that.
