It all depends on what kind of a finish and how hard you want it. Regular rattle can clears you get a walmart or the hardware store never get really hard and scratch easy. The Upol is 1 stage automotive and will get harder than the others. Takes a week or 3 if you lay on 5 coats but you can get a really nice finish without buffing. I can get a really nice finish with the rustoleum as well, but it does scratch ez. You can always wet send with 1500 and give it a few more coats if it gets all scratch up in use.
